There are many times toys are nerfed due to exploits, I couldn’t imagine letting players do whatever they want and having free roam by allowing them to have fun “on their own terms”. It would be a free for all. Then we’d be right back on the forum complaining about players being exploited, griefed, and taken advantage of.

This toy changes the shape of your mount. That’s it. You’re acting like it’s the apocalypse to allow people to have flying reindeer throughout the year. You can use your Disposable Winter Veil Suits in March, but heaven forbid you also ride around on a reindeer at the same time. That’s just too much.
How about, “Hey thanks for the gift, but kinda stinks we have a limited time to use it because we got it halfway through Winter Veil.”
And what pray tell is being exploited by using this present after the holiday?
Just a reminder. If you’re going to put restrictions on a present, it’s not exactly a present.
The best part : it’s been like this for ages, this isn’t exactly a new thing.
I don’t see the big deal it is themed around Christmas so why should players be able to use it when it is over.
Just wait till next year to use it again.

You do know that Preserved Holly will now turn your flying mount into a flying Reindeer…with no restrictions of date or time of year.
The piccolo and the train set. Without restrictions people did what people do on the internet. Everything they possible can to annoy people.
What’s been this way forever? Every other Winter Veil toy can be used outside of the holiday.
The Christmas mount has been this way for quite a few expansions.
The Preserved Holly consumable item can be used throughout the year (if you stock up on it).
The Fresh Holly toy could have been given a longer cooldown (with a reduced cooldown during Winter Veil) and all would have been fine.

Not if there are holiday items, be it consumable or toy, that can be used year round. That just proves Blizz is inconsistent.
Truth. It’s terrible and should be fixed. It’s like they never even test this stuff.
I like this mount even with the red nose. It’s kind of cute that the nose works as an actual light source.
It does look kind of funny when flying but makes you feel like you are going super fast.

I stopped collecting the Preserved Holly as I end up with like 60-80 of them every year with all my alts and end up destroying it before the first half of the year. The novelty wears thin fairly quickly and having a toy that does the same thing isn’t all that great.
