I’d rather they stay and fund the game I love. I can deal with whining.
Not so much whining its just poor development choices and lack of understanding by blozzards behalf. Its not hard to do your job.
This is subjective sorry to say.
Yet no one is asking for the fix that you suggested. If that fix existed, there would be no difference between maelstrom and fulmination and I wouldnt have an issue. However, the revert to maelstrom also brings a revert from hard casting EQ and less than full resource ES. So yes, I am still against maelstrom unless that fix went live, but it wont, because no one is asking for it.
Magma totem is good for popping a rogue out of stealth, but searing totem kept a rogue in combat. This occurred when you got CS’d and couldnt put damage on the rogue/druid. It also can keep healers in combat so they cant drink. Searing totem had a lot more uses once combat started than just damage.
I actually made a new thread suggesting exactly these Maelstrom changes yesterday, but it has 0 replies and so is now getting buried by other topics… I guess shamans would rather cry and pound their fists on the table rather than offer concrete suggestions (which are also realistically implementable).
If you’d like to help get more eyes on it, the topic is called “How to fix Maelstrom for Ele shamans”, feel free to post in there.
Also that is an interesting point about magma/searing totem, unfortunately I think we should probably pick our battles at this point and focus on most important issues (Maelstrom resource and maybe a defensive buff).
I don’t play ele that much but ur right about enhance survivability being an issue. I’m going to roll necrolord just for the shield even tho the class skill is meh.
Survival hunter is my other love and they got squat changes so there in a worst spot then enhance.
Gonna roll full defensive conduits and sacrifice increased damage but hopefully that’ll make the spec feel better
