"You Can't Include Links In Your Posts"

Refer to the syntax guide in the guide section.

You can not post Live Links until you hit trust lvl 3.

Prior to that if you put links in ’ marks they will show as plain text that people can copy and paste manually.

Trust level? What’s that?

That’s add I was able to do it it before. Guess they changed it.

A grinding system for the forums where if you’ve done a certain amount of things like reading posts, liking them, and so and so. You level up.

You can link to ‘trusted’ sites, like Blizzard websites, YouTube, or Twitch at trust level 1, I do believe. Wowhead would count in that too, I think.

Trust level 3 can link to all things.

There’s a sticky at the top of GD describing the syntax and forum features.

Ahh… that clears things up. Thanks!

So like can’t link imgur?

You can but you need to wrap the link in tickmarks (').

Yeah, doesn’t work properly. Tried to do troubleshooting with our glorious game service (BNet) in the filename and…“you can’t post that because it contains links”.

Makes tech support stupidly difficult. People can’t even post their WinMTRs or dxDiag reports. This wasn’t very well thought out.

I tried to link raiderio earlier, wouldn’t let me. I guess we finally know blizzard’s stance on it

You can post from pre approved links at level 2 and other links at level 3.

For example, YouTube is a level 2 link while Flickr is level 3. Wowhead is a pre approved level 2 link. I think Twitch is also level 2.

Question. Would doing this be against the rules? If not then I am so happy.

Well I don’t know for certain, but it’s from a sticked thread, so I assume it’s ok?

I guess that doesn’t fall on the list of trusted.

Does it work if you bracket it with `` ?
