Too bad ff16 is ps5 exclusive, for now. It actually does look cool.
Its because they added jouyous journys again. Everyone is leveling and running low level dungeons.

Well, this is what happens when you change a game too much.
The retail changes with AotC, H+, no RDF… They made an alt expac main focused.
If they wanted people to play more; we needed short phases (12 weeks), more drops per raid bosses, RDF, and the real Wrath.
It’s looking like I’m going to miss out on the cutting edge achievement since Blizzard screwed Maladath over and destroyed my Wrath experience in the process. So I’ll be riding out this sub. As I’ve said before, I’ll be hard pressed to buy anything from them again with the BS they’ve pulled the last 8 months.
The mis-management of this project is just appalling.

we’re probably at the lowest point of classic wow right now, D4 just hit, the phase has been a long one (for classic wow standards), the wow token was very recently and its june and the next patch is togc

Forums are one thing, game seems no less alive than it’s ever been. Doomer’s gonna doom.
Prob seems likenit because so many are just raid logging and nothing worth really discussing here
Between raid logging, D4 and whatever else. Sure it will pick back up for ToC if not def ICC
There’s a marked decrease in streamer and youtuber content specifically related to WoTLK too. Sort of backs your observation.
‘Dying’ is a bit much though. It’s going through a lull.
I think it was a mistake on Blizzards part to raise the Ulduar ilvls but delay p3 release.
I get the whole “keep Ulduar relevant” objective and all but that should have been a relatively short Ulduar phase and the a longer period of Ulduar+ToGC.
They made the same error of judgement in TBCC when they split p1 into 2 phases and made the first phase excruciatingly long. That too led to a lot of player attrition.
Tons of guilds have died this phase, visibly less people logging in idk how you think the game hasn’t died off a noticeable amount. People arent stoked for next phase either. I am, i like togc + gearing alts b4 icc.
RDF would get people boosting alts up and give people a reason to play other than the short little raids being added. Lots of people don’t want to bother questing for the millionth time so they dont even log in. Rdf does increase player count and gives people stuck on dead realms someone to dungeon with.
Personally just finished another 80, geared him up, and ive got a lvl 40 i wouldnt mind lvling up but I cba to vanilla quest and all that again but if there was RDF id have him done in a couple days. Lots of people arent lvling alts or arent playing in general because of no RDF and because the next phase isnt exactly exciting. It needs something else, needs RDF.

No lol. This place had a meltdown over the token and on the realm I’m on no one cared after like one day. Most if the people on here are just wow haters who cant let go.

What is there to talk about though? During raid this week, all we were talking about was clearing Ulduar so we can go have fun in D4. This is while we are playing, so why would people want to talk about classic when you are not playing?
We are in week 21 of Ulduar, what content is going to be discussed that hasn’t already? P3 is a nothing phase, so nothing to discuss there.
A lot of the WoTLK streamers are pvpers and we have been shafted with a three week intermission between seasons.Want to watch them play skirmishes? Probably not.
D4 is actually a ton of fun, so why talk about a 20 year old game when you can have fun with your friends in a new shiny enjoyable game?

IDK coming into a new phase there’s usually a lot more conjecture and hype. But I just don’t think the community as a whole are all that hyped about ToC.
If you want action there was a lengthy and disgusting thread about free speech earlier you can browse in retail general. I’ll take the silence and relative calm of the wrath forums.
This is the weakest phase of all of classic. A raid that is literally going to take 30 mins to a hour. That’s it, nothing else. So again, what is there to talk about?
Yet you’re still paying sub money each month… why?

A new game launched. Of course it is going to siphon off players in the short term, and maybe even longer. Normal. It is the new shiny thing.
The WoW token was a breaking point for a lot of people.
