Agreed OP. Some quick easy fixes off the top of my head:

  1. If the opposing team has 2 players more than 100 rating apart, if your team loses you don’t lose rating
  2. Always matchmake off the higher player’s rating

I dont think boosting is good. Its bad. However, a lot of low rated players use “boosters” as an excuse for their own short comings and it gets old.

Does it occur to you that people who see this problem don’t even bother playing seriously anymore? I mean, how exhausting is this game to new players and returning players because of problems you wish to brush off? The concern has been addressed by many and plenty have quit over it. You lack a boarder perspective and reason.

New players are learning the game and get excited hitting 1400/1600/etc.

Returning players are usually washed and cant hit the ratings they did 10+ years ago and make excuses. Do you know how many “glad xp” and whatnot players i see that are pure trash and think they’re still at that level?

I hit 2600 in legion. Do I think I’m a 2600xp player now? Absolutely not, but I practice and improve and am trying to get better.

Many veterans don’t have that mindset

You hit 2600 in Legion and you arent now because the bracket is messed due to the reasons addressed. As I stated the bracket pool is low due to quitting players and bottlenecking. You keep stating points that prove the issues exist. “I hit this in a healthy bracket.” “its a competitive game!” Which in return should have level playing field regardless your skill

You can’t buy ratings if there’s no ratings to buy. Just saying. Meanwhile, my K/D ratio in open-world has already exceeded my record best in Legion, which was 2.4. It’s about 2.6 and climbing. A really good time to be a Marks.

That’s why you motivate them. You have to go to the cities and make them flag up. I actually didn’t want to do this but this is not a WPvP expansion. It has been slow though: I just broke 300 after a handful of days hunting. I hope to pick it up more as I should no longer be doing chores like Torghast/BGs and especially Korthia research.
