keep dreaming m8
You know what I mean, it was hyperbole, man.
I have zero skin in the game with open source software or Linux systems. Iâll buy whatever is the best value for my money, that being Nvidia.
Itâs been that way for years though. Itâs nothing new.
WoW kinda runs like crap at max settings anyway no matter what type of hardware you throw at it. I have a 7700k+GTX 1080 with 16GB of RAM and i get better FPS out of Witcher 3 on ultra than i do WoW.
Better to just play WoW on med-high settings and use any old PC.
I suppose an advantage of building a VR gaming pc⌠is never looking or caring about a games System Requirements.
notices the GTX 1080 for recommended settings
OK, wait, just what the heck are they doing that they want something more powerful than a 1070?
And again⌠people arenât stupid. Weâve been through this every freaking expansion. All youâre doing here is creating an uproar over nothing.
We all know how system requirements work.
Oh no! Not according to Clark! This is new and completely shocking and people will throw a fit on the forums! ![]()
Nav23 is coming this year!
The so called âNvidia Killerâ but weâll see, word is Nvidia is working on the 2080 TI successor as well.
Do i have to upgrade i have a gtx 980 ti?
âNvidia Killer,â much like the oft-fabled WoW killer?
No, youâre very well above minimum reqs.
I hope not
(Commentary): My processor is just above the minimum system requirements⌠AMD FX⢠8300. Iâve got 8320⌠Everything else I seem to be fine on, but my computer is about four years old now, and other than Windows 10 screwing up every update leading to a reformat like, every month, I donât see a reason to change anything. Well, an SSD is probably overdue.
I still want to know why they have a GTX-1080 as recommended. I mean damn, my VR rig here uses a 1070, and WoW of all things recommends higher? Like what in the world are they doing to push that many pixels?
Everyone actually has skin in the game, because forcing NVIDIA/Intel to do better with market pressure is how we, the consumers, win. AMD is the one company out there not acting like a complete joke putting out good value for the money.
High heat is not necessarily a bad thing. Itâs only when temperatures exceeding the normal operating envelope in the manufacturerâs specs that you should be worried. If it caught on fire, that sounds like an RMA.
Itâs a good thing this is virtually a daily occurrence here so weâre all desensitized to it by now lol
I am curious what graphics settings Blizz uses for these suggestions
and what the expected fps is.
I had 3 fans on the chassis, a massive like 90$ heatsync, and the room was like 65 degrees.
I shall never trust AMD again, Nas! Neveeer!
Iâve had zero problems with Nvidia for the past eight years. I have no incentive or reason to buy another, inferior product just because its competing with Nvidia and itâll somehow keep them honest. My financial choices are based strictly on usefulness.
Itâs like telling me to buy an EA game to keep Blizzard on its toes. Nty.
Iâve been considering building something new anyway.
Itâs been 5 years, time for something new.
