You better start saving money for a new PC for Shadowlands!

I have a fx8350, nvidea 960. Phew I’ll just make it

I mean you didn’t seem to listen to my advice about the boards either…

Think you just don’t want to listen to other’s opinions

Shadowlands is so new that it’s not even out yet. The 1080 isn’t some brand new, top of the line graphics card. It wasn’t top of the line in 2016. There was a 1080 TI and a TITAN.

It’s not “pretty high up there”. Just because it was doesn’t mean it is now.

A mid-range 2070 costs less than what a 1080 did and outperforms it.

The processor is more important to WoW than the graphics card anyway.

You weren’t giving advice. You just wanted to be right about something that had nothing to do with me anyway after I told you that you were trolling.

I told you the a320 boards were hindering that chips performance but you still want to say I’m trolling

LOL. It’s not funny I swear (yes it is)

From an example comp I quickly linked to someone to give them an idea what was out there. Yes. Because no one cares about an example of something except you who has to be right all of the time.

The premises of this thread is trolling. You created drama for no reason over the system requirements. But sure, since you need to have the last line everywhere just to try to be right, go ahead and have at it. All yours. I’m done.

For everyone dismissing the SL specs as still “potatoes”… Well, you are only looking around your own neighborhood.

In lots of countries around the world it is pretty expensive to upgrade hardware and SSDs are not cheap at all like in the US.

And please in the name of all that is holy do not say “it is a matter of handling finances”. Also, some people do love WoW and wanna keep playing it.

This, absolute this

You can’t tell people “lol go buy a $1000 PC” when you don’t know their financial situation

It is Blizzard.

Anyone who has been aware of newegg for the last 15-20 years will be 110% not worried about this.

If you’re still on your Hewlett Packard from 2001 that’s on you, not blizzard. I advise you quit wow and just go full time on Stadia games

Which is why I made this thread

I think and expect at least half the population in general discussion are on potatoes

Especially if they use WoW tokens for sub

I mean if you aren’t water cooling your ssd’s are you even a gamer.
Jokes aside great post.

Its more of a referendum on the GPU market than it is on WoW itself. The 1080ti was ahead of its time and it still a top performer for the time being until Nvidia 3000 series comes out.

if you were gifted a 1080ti so you didnt actually pay for it and so its budget was never a factor you would have gone through 3 generations of Motherboards, 4 generations of CPU, HHD to SSD, SSD to M.2 NvME SSD, 8gb of 2700ram to 16gb and now 32gb at 3400mhz+

The say future proofing is a meme but in terms of the original GTX 1080ti Launch and now no card has ever lived this long while remaining this competitive in performance.

The card was too good or the market has been too stagnant. Even the 2080ti is more of feature set upgrade than it is a raw power upgrade over the 1080ti.

I’m sorry, but you don’t get to keep buying new games forever with the same hardware.

Even for expansion packs, a company is not required to make sure it’s playable with the same hardware as what was required for the original game 15 years ago. WoW expansions have always been closer to completely new games than just add-ons.

There have literally been video game consoles where you had to upgrade the hardware to play new games. The N64 had the expansion pak that was required for Perfect Dark, Donkey Kong 64, and Majora’s Mask.

“I’m poor and my garbage country’s official currency is worth less than WoW gold” isn’t a good enough reason to keep everyone else in the stone age.

ITT: People who have no idea what they are talking about.

The requirements are preliminary and will drop as Shadowlands is polished more.

Because i see the bottleneck and you don’t want to listen my opinion… It’s really what you’re doing

Uh…no.
Basically, you’re looking @ nothing above what’s reccommended for BfA.

Minimum Drive requirement is a SSD. I am not worried, I have a 2 TB SSD. But man, so many people probably do not have one. Surely that is a typo. lol

BfA recommend is still potato specs…
