lol the content gets sold and completed with less than a full group by the end of the patch cycle
I think they could have been ok with just making the dungeons harder, but mixing that with seriously nerfing healing while not really making everyone else know about it killed dungeons.
I will say this. I still do the Wrath style round em up and are them down in leveling dungeons. You know why? Itâs fun. That it, itâs just fun. Like charge or heroic leap or double jump. For whatever reason it just hits people in the feels and they enjoy it. The devs should take advantage of that, not try to destroy it
Easy:
1 - Remove role/spec restrictions and instead offer achievements and aesthetic rewards to encourage players to complete content across the various role, spec, and class options available.
2 - Change the loot system to vastly reduce the layers of RNG while introducing RP elements; e.g. bosses can now drop 5 pieces of COMPONENTS of a gear piece (3 of which drop per kill) AND they drop âmagicâ dust thatâs used to craft the gear piece (1-2 people per kill get enough dust to craft a piece, or a large % for a piece, and the remaining people get a fraction of the dust required for a piece). You need anywhere from 3-5 components per piece of gear.
This keeps some RNG, largely makes gear upgrades targettable while even promoting professions, and while eliminating the 30+ runs of farming for a piece of gear that never drops.
3 - STOP time sinking everyone to death. Instead of forcing players into being in the game tediously, arbitrarily, and needlessly - make the content fun and promote diversified playing (see 1).
Iâm glad LFR and LFD are there. I use them regularly. I chose not to do mythic level anything, at all. If LFR/LFD would have to go, fine, replace them with a solo difficulty level. I remember those days of wasting my game time sitting in a city trying to put together a group, or trying to politic my way into a decent guild so I can at least experience the raid. That wasnât fun for me back then and it definitely wouldnât be fun for me now. I sure as #$% donât trust most active guilds nowadays.
I realize this is an MMO, and itâs supposed to be a social experience, but the over abundance of toxicity repels me from that social experience. I play this game because I enjoy Azeroth and itâs various neighboring worlds. But I donât give a crap about XXMonkeyLoveXX the obnoxious demon hunter. I donât want to know him, I donât want to talk to him, and I certainly donât want to play this game with him.
And stop trying to gate certain content away from me just because I donât want to interact with most other players. Blizzard does enough gating these days.
Forced interaction does not a community make.
Fun > anything else in games. If we cannot add fun then the game canât be fixed.
I was going to say add class fun and hybrids. Boring, slog classes ruined WoW for me. GCD being at least a half second too long is a close second.
To each their own.
you can not ever please all those million reasons its just not possible to make the game perfect for every player. some one will always have something to complain about.

Remove the Faction Barrier: While the Horde and Alliance are iconic to the franchise, the barrier preventing cross-faction gameplay has created a drastic issue in end-game participation between the factions. Players are not playing the race or fact they want to play, because their friends prefer races on the other faction, or just prefer the other faction. Letting players have the freedom to engage in all social aspects of the game regardless of faction is a necessary quality of life improvement.

Reboot the Game and Story: World of Warcraft has had a long run and the lore is a mess. The easiest solution is to reboot the story. Bring the current World of Warcraft to an end where the bad guys win. The Bronze Flight gives us all one last chance by combining all timelines. There is no longer anymore alternate realities or timelines to explore. This is the final shot, itâs for keeps. Keep things more simplistic; just because Warcraft if a High Fantasy setting doesnât mean it needs to have DBZ levels of increasing power levels. Spend more story focusing on world building; cultures, politics, religions, etc⌠Also, the Horde and Alliance are not evil. No more of this Garrosh/Sylvanas/Benedictus/Fandral nonsense.
-
Veteran Award System: Tied into rebooting the game, players can access an Altar of Kings at Stormwind, or an Altar of Storms at Orgrimmar to gain access to toys, mounts, cosmetics, transmog, titles, battle pets, etc⌠Based on achievements from prior to the reboot, players can also earn additional rewards such as special transmogs, free WoW tokens, and even racial customization from Allied Races.
-
PvP Overhaul: Completely divorce PvP from PvE. Upon entering PvP content players select one of several PvP specific classes based on the RTS gamesâ units, each with itâs own set of abilities and passives that are carefully tuned and balanced specifically for PvP.
-
Flight: Itâs back. No more, âyou need Pathfinder, oh and thatâs added in the .3, .2, or .1 patch.â You can now pay a specific amount of in-game currency at max level to purchase flight per character. Pathfinder will still exist, with reputation and questing requirements tied to it, to automatically unlock flight for all characters across an account.
-
Account-Wide Convenience: Reputations, Currencies, Achievements, etc⌠will now be account-wide. Characters will have a personal bank, and a shared bank for across the entire account. Gold can also be stored in the personal or shared banks.
-
Class Balancing: Balance the classes. The difference in DPS/Healing/Mitigation for every class and spec needs to be within a margin of 1% at most. Casters will be allowed to cast while moving, Melee will be equipped to DPS from range when dodging attacks.
None, I was just trying to show the absolute mess the devs have to work with these days (unlike vanilla and early expansions where it was near free reign). All the constraints they have and see if people can come up with any better ideas under those constraints. I think some thought it was a complaint post, but it was more out of curiosity.
I would expand on the time walking events and make them two weeks long. Add a new high quality class cosmetic set for MoP, quality weapons for WoD, and a mage tower with reskinned artifact weapons. They could add different things for BC, Wotlk, and Cata like toys, cosmetics, etc. For some reason they only like to timelock their best animated gear. I would love a warlock cloak that shows an imp ride on your shoulders like Master Daglop.
I would look back to successful times such as legion and build the game from there. I would find out who is making the bad ideas and tell them to do some market research before implementation. Balance and story could turn the tide.
I would buy the rights to Warhammer Online and implement a blizzard version.
You mean so you can watch lowbies get stomped? That says a lot about youâŚ
Iâd just use MoP as a template. MoP after they mitigated gating rep behind rep.
Sure people still complained. People always complain. In order to appeal to a broad audience we are all going to have some stuff we donât like.
But most people didnât unsub a few weeks after launch in MoP. And, in fact, many stayed through a very long content drought.
No scaling. Flying at max. Big world full of content. Interesting professions. Generous rewards for all kinds of players.
Will people complain. Of course. Will they log in anyway? Yup.
So few WQ in SL and they repeat every day on top of it.
I find myself logging in, picking up the daily help this zone quest. Kill the usual rares to see if the item I want will drop, gain 4/5 eye of jailer and log out.
Yeah, we used to say thatâŚand then they began just catering to raiders and mythic +âŚand its worse now than ever.
True. A lot of activities I used to see people at are now dead most of the time or a few people there.
Gotta push that M+ 18 key! Come on bois! Lets cut a second off by hitting our space bar quicker to jump this glitched area! Whooooo! FUN!
I donât pvp, so it doesnât say much.
I would do two things.
Create a team that devotes their time to class balancing doing 3-5% tweaks weekly until there is true class balance.
Add pvp stats to pvp gear like it was back in the day. During that time pvp participation was at itâs highest when people could get gear with resilience and pvp power.
well 1 way to help fix some lag would be remove world bosses and have them instanced, also donât have all the covenants send people to the same zone.
If Iâm Blizzard Iâm thinking this.
The game is great. People love it. They show their love by playing it.
A lot of people are making a lot of money from player-created content related to WoW.
No game is even remotely close to touching WoW. Itâs the best. Letâs keep this thing rolling forward! Full steam ahead.
