"You are bad. You don't deserve KSM"

Pugs always know best!

You also learned that pugs aren’t a positive experience. I’d suggest friends or guildies or find a community or discord if you can. It might help make things easier and more positive and fun.

It is terrible, REALLY terrible.

I don’t know about the specifics, but no matter what, you might want to get some enchants. The +12 mastery ring enchants are like one gold and they’re way better than nothing. You can also get 30 extra stamina on your cloak for about 10 gold. While we’re talking about it, try to get the +20 all stats enchant for your chest. You have the 226 piece, might as well spend some gold to enchant it. Hope this helps.

That would be my guess. If you don’t wait til they clear the circle, they get stuck…I have to wait to shift out of it too.

I suppose my question is why did they call you “bad”. I doubt 1 mistake will cause it unless guys are salty for some reason. How was your dps? Did you interrupt things. NW has so much required interrupts. Did you die in the dungeon alot?

I wont really call you bad because I wasn’t there but I can probably say inexperience because you’re probably unaware of alot of the mechanics and were casusing grief to the people you’re in party with

I look down on you for being alliance but if you made it… gratz! Its a game u pay to play.

The strat is to do 3 melee and also have a holy paladin.

Stacking triple melee with really good cleave can be a strategy, they burst cleave the spiteful’s down before they can even get an attack off.

if you don’t kill everything within a second or so window and miss out on the burst cleave it is really sucky though.

Deserve has nothing to do with it. KSM is about time spent. Spend enough time grinding IO and you’ll get KSM eventually…no matter what. Some people had KSM on week one. They deserve it. The rest of us get it once we outgear it and get lucky enough to get into competent groups. That shouldn’t take anything away from you though. Pugging KSM is an accomplishment all on its own. Congrats my friend!

Community sux. Just gotta get used to it until blizz decides to fix it. God knows we as players wont

You know, I’m thinking about this, and Bear/HPal/Enh/Fury/WW could be strong in Halls of Atonement. It’d be pretty rough with these affixes, though.

And then I guess swapping Fury with Outlaw could work in Mists! Someone try it out, please tell me how it goes.

Jokes on them. Once the price of a KSM carry gets to reasonable levels, I’ma just buy it. And you know what? I’ll deserve it too because I paid for it in gold.

Bro I run all-monk runs every monday before reset for funzies.
We need to do a mini-tourney of all monk vs all pally vs all druid.

If the timer was that close, it probably means there were more than a couple mistakes. Not saying they were all on you. Could have been low overall dps, idk.

As they key level goes up, the room for errors like that shrinks. I know it was an accident, but things like the last boss snare can’t happen in high keys. I’m glad you were able to recover though.

While I don’t think you can get KSM without deserving it (unless you pay for a boost), it’s important to realize there’s always room for improvement and if you keep playing and identify some issues you make you’ll be surprised by the silly mistakes you used to make (i know it from my own experiences).

I don’t have anything against melee but sadly Blizzard does. Unfortunately having any melee during spiteful week is suboptimal, with each additional one increasing the difficulty of successfully timing the dungeon. It doesn’t make it impossible, just harder, and if you’re pushing keys every bit of advantage helps.

Might be harsh, but you’re pugging +15s. That level of mythic requires everyone to have a decent level of knowledge and experience of both the dungeon and your class. A single mistake can cost a key and you claim you made more than one (bad group composition is already a pretty significant one for certain affixes). It definitely sucks and it’s a difficult pill to swallow (I’ve been there), but if you’re pugging, the only way to avoid these situations is to identify your mistakes and get better. Then you can be the one flaming others instead!

First of all, Gratz on timing the run.

My friends are working on this now in a group with 3 melee. That’s right. THREE MELEE!! They are friends and working on progression in a game, playing classes
They enjoy. They easily admit it isn’t an ideal set up, but who cares?

Side note, I have joined a few runs when someone was missing, but I don’t like timed runs and I’m not that good.

These foolish PUGs had a choice. They could have left before you started if;

They didn’t want to be a 3 melee group
They didn’t like your gear
They wanted to know your path in advance
They weren’t sure about your experience

There is a reason they are pugging. They don’t have a regular group. And they know that pugging means you get what you get.

You finished. You timed it. But you had mistakes. Big deal. Even well coordinated groups make mistakes.

It’s like there is only one way to do things and everything else is wrong. Of course you want to be effective and efficient but if you are gonna be picky about it they should ask questions beforehand.

Don’t let it get you down. You did it!

Edited for being early

I’ve had many keys fail, for varying reasons, and have never encountered toxicity (not at least in the 15 bracket). Most people just say their goodbyes and leave, or tell whoever screwed up what they did wrong so we can keep advancing.

I wouldn’t take this personally. Sure, you made a big mistake, but people that go out of their way just to spite someone are fueled by their own problems, and they just happened to lash out at you.

Honestly, I wouldn’t use more than 1 melee, 2 at the absolute most, for any affix. It’s just not worth the hassle, unless you’re actually playing with friends.
