Honestly its mostly because i see so much sexism, homophobia, transphobia, going on in gaming where i question the people boycotting blizzard, merely looking at any cod lobby, looking at asmongolds chat, seeing how anytime lgbt+ topics brought up on these forums are immediately flagged, its just a reaccuring theme.
so yes it does fustrate me because it does look like the majority of men either do this or just sit back and watch.

i am gay, female, not white, and have dealt with the stuff in the op as well. it is some men not all men. and the biggest predatory creep i’ve ever met in the game was a supposedly straight housewife. had to block her. didn’t add anyone to bnet for a long time after that.
the 1st part doesn’t matter except i know you’ll be like the other op and just assume i’m some straight white male R apologist, when i am no such thing.

Ugh… I am so tired of all the “phobic” and “ist” nonsense being thrown around. “Woke” people literally took all meaning out of those words/labels with their overuse and their misuse. People like you, OP are the problem with sweeping generalizations and accusations.
It always amazes me that “woke” people blame a whoooole society on the actions of a few. I am a good person, I’ve never hurt anyone and I’ve certainly never been any kind of phobic or ist.

To be honest, I do not play COD and I don’t contribute to such conversations or pay attention to them. If by me not even giving attention to toxic people you think I am being an enabler then I don’t know what to tell you. If I see evil, I generally do something about it but as I said, I am not perfect and not a superman. My main philosophy is to treat others how I want to be treated. It is that simple to me. Peace.

this stuff does happen. it is a thing. that said, most men don’t go around harassing/assault anyone. it’s a very small segment of terrible men.
this is the kind of thing like when #metoo got polluted cuz women were #metoo-ing men supposedly staring at them as if it held the same weight as actually being physically harmed.

I don’t care. I want to see Blizzard punished. All aboard this train, final stop, the purging of Blizzard of all that ails it. For what they’ve done to these women. For what they’ve done to loyal customers/players, for what they’ve done to employees with their widely toxic culture, for the games they’ve ruined, the lore they’ve trashed. Let it burn.
Taking down Blizzard won’t fix problems in gaming, it won’t fix the culture issues or the harassment or bigotry but it’s something. It’s some bad people being punished for being wholly bad.
