That is such a cop-out.

Oh, it is true.

They did not know if the backup was viable, complete, or even usable
so they compiled it in house, both host and clients, and set it up to see if it would run and operate properly.

And it did kind of.
They had a lot of expected problems with the client, typical old software
attempting to run on an OS with hardware and drivers it never even heard of before, some machines it just refused to run because it just refused to recognize the video and such.
But it did run, and function.

That was the point where they said Ok, we can do this.

They did not write much about the host side, but i imagine that aspect was easier since the host is not going to be so hardware dependent in the same way the client is.

That would not surprise me at all.
Even with throwing out a lot of network traffic and routines like the emulators do (And Blizzard can not), 8k is a lot of people with out employing tech that retail has but vanilla never had

That’s what spell batching is. Spell batching is applied to every action one unit takes on another different unit. This is why you even see a delay in vendor purchases and sales, this is how it was in Vanilla.

Maybe we should just refer to it as command batching, since that is what it is, and also what other software refers to it as.
