Right? End game is repeat same dungeons or raid over and over again for higher stats on gear. In the end, every single one of us is doing content that others might find boring.
Well, that was depressing…
I don’t mind leveling. I just wish I could do the full course ( 1 to 70 ) in other expansions. By now, I am rather tired of the Dragonflight starter quests.
An observation of every expac:
- It’s released and everyone is initially excited.
- Some naysayers say it’s worse that previous expacs and will be the “death” of WoW.
- More naysayers get bored with end game content because there’s not enough of it.
- Blizz releases patch and new content.
- go back to 3.
- Blizz releases new expac
- Go back to 1.
BfA and SL were hot garbage.
Game population took a massive hit.
Excitement for a 2 decade old game fades quickly anyway.
Work that into your list. ![]()
I find doing islands on most classes relaxing and profitable but I do agree most leveling is more tedious then enjoyable for veteran players.
I’m a veteran player and don’t consider it tedious.
Initially, but once you process the depression that comes with being objectively meaningless, you can begin to enjoy the freedom that comes with determining your own destiny and deciding for yourself what matters.
That’s just crazy talk! Deciding for yourself is counterproductive to society. We all need to be mindless sheep obeying what our corporate master tell us…
You sound like the TV!
Is it? We’re all in this together. Makes it less of a mystery/scary.
Op, I love leveling. I’m sorry you do not.
Exactly every video game has had some form of leveling . Even Pong increased in difficulty as you played.
Now I’m even more depressed.
You need a fluffy blanket with polar bears on it, a snowy video playing on your tv and a can of Yuengling. Impossible to be depressed.
Then what’s the point of the game if there is “no leveling”?
I enjoy being depressed. It helped me get through the 90’s…of course, listening to The Cure helped…
Exactly. The only role-models I’ve ever had are animals. The devotion and loyalty of dogs, in particular, is an inspiration to me. The way they are there for their loved ones and provide silent, unconditional support is something that I deem worthy of recognition - heroic even.
While what dogs do is profoundly important to those who benefit from it; their lives and actions have no particular importance in the grand scheme of things. Virtually every human will agree that Rover’s life is trivial on a cosmic scale, but socially-ingrained arrogance seems to hamstring humans when they attempt to work out the same conclusion for themselves.
It’s the same absurd arrogance that gave rise to alien invasion films in which humans “fight off the invaders.”
LMAO. They have the technology to reach earth from someplace we aren’t even aware of without dying of old age on the journey… and we’re going to “fight them off?”

Human, please.
My 90’s was Nirvana, then morphed into many other bands and “substa…” that got me to the depressed state I am in today. Thankfully I dropped some of my habits and just play WoW as my form of escapism.
Nirvana was okay, but I guess I was more into obscure goth bands of the day. Something about wearing black, being depressed, and smoking cloves made me somewhat happy ![]()
Beautifully written.
I wish dogs could talk tho. I hate silence personally. Aren’t they the best?
My dog does howl at me when I tell him to do something he doesn’t want to do. Wish I knew what he is saying when he tells me off.
