Yet Another TWW Disappointment Post

No, it’s because there’s plenty to do, and you’ve chosen to not do it and then came here to complain about that.

Yeah you get maybe 1 or 2 powers in delves, not even remotely the same as going for entire anima power builds that can sink or swim your entire Torghast run.

So the story sucks because I didn’t do all the side quests and just stuck to doing the main quests and dungeon rushed to 80 so i could finish the rest of the campaign?

If these side quests are really that powerful then I’ll take today to go run through some of them and see just how much they impact the story and my feelings on it.

I thought post Nazjatar BFA was mostly fine :dracthyr_shrug:

I remember getting rich AF in 7.0 because I was one of the first people on my server to do blacksmithing far enough to make the gear you needed for the obliterum forge. Sold those things at like 80k a pop for a week lol.

You do bring up a good point though, the early AP grind and legendary RNG was certainly a pain point but the story was probably one of the best wow has ever done, and giving us suramar right after the campaign as end game content… good times to be alive. Legion did a lot of innovation, and got rid of most it (like pvp templates), but they did a lot of innovation.

I mean if you think the story sucks then that’s your opinion on it. I disagree, as do many others obviously.

The side quests do a lot of the heavy lifting for developing the zones and the people in them, though.

Why do they have to reinvent the wheel or add more spokes every single expansion lol. They added those but it still wasn’t good enough for you. Just go play another game

Alright, I’m all about being fair. I had no idea the side quests were more important than the main quests now… that just seems like the opposite of how it should be. Knowing this, I will now go back and level a new character and make sure to do the side quests and see if it really improves my thoughts on the story.

I mean I wouldn’t say they’re more important. They just moved a lot of the worldbuilding into them to streamline the campaign. They’re important if you want to know and/or care about the setting that you’re blazing a campaign through.

I’d definitely recommend it. Hope you enjoy.

Me too, even if it doesn’t change my opinion surely it will be worth more since I didn’t rush it this time (which seems to be the overwhelming criticism i’m getting).

Right???

I mean, again, your opinion is your own. I can’t promise you’ll like it more but common sense would seem to dictate that taking your time and reading everything improves the experience of a story.

Highly recommended doing the ones that have Earthen as part of the reward. (Has a great story for the race even if you don’t like them)

I’ll take a few days to do some side quests and see if that’s really where blizzard hid all the good story at. Probably not going to change my opinions on the rest of the expansions features though… to be fair.

The story being bad is one thing, a thing that most people don’t even generally care about as they just want to hit end game and do M+/Raid/PvP, but the features of the expansion being rather lack luster is another. Most people are just griping at me for rushing the story… which is quite telling.

I’ll give you my honest opinion, it’s definitely not popular, the main story is meh (currently. Hope that changes). A lot of the side stories are better, even the ones that don’t have anything to do with the main story.

As far as the features, it won’t change your opinion. The sidequests don’t add much to it. Well the sidequests with Brann for delves get interesting towards the end.

Regardless, I do hope you stumble upon some of the cool side stories!

There are 2 campaigns. maybe before you make these pointless posts you really look around at what you can do. Because it is clear you have not.

There is also the pacts in the last zone. Bet you have not maxed those out. There is also the Awakening Machine in ringing deeps. There is also the fire meta event in hallow fall. ALL of these silly and trolling posts about not much do all have the same thing in common. You don’t know what you’re talking about and you have not really looked for what to do.

OH and maxing your renown, you have not done that for sure in all 4 zones.

The expansion also just launched so the new car smell is rather potent. Will be curious to see how peoples opinions change.

Also Vlad, where in my post did I say there wasn’t enough to do?

My critcism was the story sucks, was short, and TWW didn’t really innovate or add anything of value. Of course theres 8000 different grinds in the game to do… that has always been the case.

if you choose to do all the quest in the first zone you would be 80 before going to hallowfall. How is that fun? Now I just do all the rest of the quest getting 0 exp? That’s stupid.

you’re not wrong mate this expansion only has 4 zones and the story is disney level cringe. Delves are garbage even islands were more interesting. Fanboys will defend it even though if the game was actually good they would be playing it rather than arguing with you here. The game is dead for a reason

Maybe you should spend as much time playing the game as you did on this post

I had a different experience. There were more than enough side quests to get me to 80. I have a few outstanding that I need to finish on Dorn. All 3 subterranean zones still have enough quests to keep me occupied for weeks.

My only two complaints are the Earthen are kind of boring and my blueberry won’t hold aggro. Other than that I like this expansion.
