Yes... Blade Flurry is still hard capped for Outlaw

One of the best Outlaw Rogues in the world do tank damage on large pulls in +12 NW while a Frost DK is doing four times the amount and we’re still over here with a hard cap on Blade Flurry. But don’t worry everyone, worthless Precise Cuts buff :+1:

You know what would make Outlaw better? Two whole charges of Grapple Hook and no Shadowstep.

Bruh, didn’t you hear?

Coup De Grace will actually work in the next content update, so progress!
And we get to spend an extra talent for a worse Echoing Reprimand. Problems solved!

Is there even ANY viable build that currently exists that even uses Precise Cuts?

Not really, no. Not ones that would gain enough damage to swap talents up with that buff to PC, since you’re also concerned with maintaining ST damage with Fort and Tyrannical existing together.

It was marginally usable previously on Fort weeks because the trash was alive long enough, and bosses not, to impact the damage profile.

Honestly, we can get away with not using Dancing Steel right now, at least for specific dungeons. There are a lot of keys that you almost never hit 6-8 targets for long enough to care, so I just toss vers in and see a solid increase in overall damage.

I say this coming from a pugging perspective, but coordinated groups will absolutely use the target cap and then some.

They’d basically need to make CTO or Loaded Dice a passive to make it usable.

The underlying issue here is that our damage is capped on larger pulls. It doesn’t matter how good you are. If your spec can’t bring the damage required to compete on major pulls, you don’t play the game. To make matters worse we aren’t even that good at pulls with 8 targets or less so we pretty much do nothing exceptional.

Blade Flurry at minimum should be soft capped. I’m already getting my sin set together because I can’t even get an invite to +12’s

My position is if they are going to insist on a hardcap than Outlaw needs to have elite single target DPS.

I don’t think people are understand the changes, we are getting a HUGE BUFF. Massive, we are going from 2 percent on a talent I have never used or seen anyone use to 4 percent. That’s 2 extra percent and by my math that should allow this unused talent to jump ahead to top spot on DPS charts, we’ll be pumping out over 4 billion dps from this change alone.

Also complaining about the AoE cap is wrong, we can hit 5 enemies! That is 3 less than other classes, which isn’t a huge deal in most content because outside of like 1 dungeon every fight including trash is ST right? Right? Oh wait, no it isn’t. Well at least we have uh… Crimson Vial still nerfed 2 years after Shadowlands and… Uh guns?

After some testing from the community it also looks like Deft Maneuvers is bugged and not granting the initial 100% damage bonus… only giving us combo points :+1:

while they fix that, it is time to soft cap bladeflurry
