Yes, I noticed that when they came out since I’m always on the lookout for a cringey pun. Nobody thought that it was that funny at the time. I guess timing is everything in comedy.

I pronounce them as dictionaries tell me to pronounce them. When dictionaries don’t help I look up the etymology and history.
