WoD lacked content.
BfA had content that was annoying and felt more like Time engagement grinds than fun gameplay that gives out rewards.
Make of that what you will.

You’re thinking of SC/WC3/D2 era blizzard, “it’s ready when it’s ready” blizzard. That hasn’t been a thing for almost a decade: they’re known for buggy unfinished releases now.
Maybe, but Legion prepatch had the full Legion expansion and Legion opened without even downtime. BfA was almost the same.
Shadowlands prepatch isn’t even done yet, they said on Twitter that they need to a few last minute customization in the next build still. And they’ve branched off Shadowlands to its own patch, and are still actively making ability changes to Covenants.
This is never before seen levels of “Not ready” from Blizzard, even post-Activision Blizzard.
We need something to do, there hasn’t been anything new in months. You like content droughts?
As if the moderators have been regulating the forums
Don’t worry, people will still invite you regardless of your covenant choice even though they knew that you’re 15++% weaker than candidate B.
… Right?
Why would Blizzard be forced to refund preorders? Delays happen.
As someone who pre-ordered, I wish they would delay and give themselves time to redesign Covenants rather than push that out to patch 9.1 or 9.2 as we all know will happen.
I think the situation is more blizzard management faults than activisions at all. Blizzard is known to pay far below industry standards, and game companies are known for the “crunch time” mentality. So right now, you have a bunch of underpaid overworked people working on the game. That kind of explains why the quality of their games have slipped so far: they realized they don’t need to make quality games to make money.
Dude, they’ve already assured it’s going to be a bad expansion. I’d rather it get rushed so we can move into 9.1, 9.2 and finally the next expansion as quickly as possible
nah im good with my broken class. Love destroying the DHs that will get even worse in SL. Can’t wait for the DH purge.
i am not , classic is still hear , is awesome 4 me
Activision set the

posting in an aviela thread
Im no so desperate for BFA to end as much as im desperate to have a single reason to log into BFA as everything I would be interested in is already obsolete.
I have no interest and grinding out cloak/azurite levels and that is all there is I could do before Prepatch.
Nothing is worse than BFA, stop being a soy drama queen. So people don’t like Covenants…mmkay you wanna go down the list of ALL the issues BFA had…k
Islands
Warfronts
Azerite gear
Corruption
Warmode
Essences
Story was pure garbage
Literally every minor and major content/feature added to BFA was trash, ok people don’t 1 or 2 features in SL…cry me a river
Delaying a game does not =/= to making it better
It had quests?
This week go storm Org. and this part of the vale/desert. Now next week go storm SW and the other part of the vale/desert.
8.2.x was just as fun. It was radiant questing in naga/gnome ville. With a very small bank of options for where to radiant quest.
Now in fallout 4 I have ranted volumes about preston and his damned radiants. Another settlement needs your help!. BUt at least he had a table of locations of like at least 20 places to spice it up.
Yes!

Kill any NPC mod was great especially combined with Sim settlements. I hate Preston and had way more fun taking out prebuilt settlements as a Raider after taking over Nuka World.
Step 1:Start the game with settlements already pre-built from the mod. You want to start with 10 END no matter what so you’ll have a base of 11 after finding the bobblehead. Eventually with buffs you’ll be able to get capped STR or AGI or whatever stat you need for your weapon choice(I find melee the most satisfying for this type of playthrough).
Step 2: Play as a full on psycho who’s nuts after watching her husband die/baby get stolen while stuck in cryo, wake up and find out it’s been 200 years.
Step 3: Get to Concord and kill the raiders, then when Mama Murphy starts talking crazy, kill them too(by this point you should be addicted to psycho, med-x and any other drugs you’ve bought off Wolfgang after settling his dispute).
Step 4: Freedom, you ignore the main quest and pretty much play through all the side stuff. Your family is dead, drugs/alcohol and the thrill of taking your pain out on this messed up world is all you have.
This was the most fun I’ve ever had roleplaying in Fallout 4. I didn’t use any perk mods so I ended up doing a totally busted build around melee buffing myself to hell with drugs/booze taking advantage of “Bloodied” weapons with the Inquisitor of Atom Perk from Far Harbor. I combined my blood lust with a Zealotry the Children of Atom had never seen before helping them destroy Far Harbor for the perk.
Let yourself take about 50% of your HP in RAD dmg and you’ll get the bonus from blooded and the perk to stack. If you really want to break the game you do a VATS melee build with Blitz. It doesn’t matter what kind of melee weapon(or ranged if you go that route) you want to use at this point, as long as it had the “Bloodied” Legendary effect.

I modded the game to hell though and edited some custom armor with a mod that used unused armor slots to let me equip my weapons in 3rd person. I hated pulling weapons out of nowhere in Fallout 4. They were so worried about memory problems on the old systems they couldn’t even let us have our equipped/sheathed weapons visible at all times.
Huh? What is this special kind of stupid? Shareholders and Activision are deciding that release date and NOTHING else. You’re just being outright ignorant about it if you don’t understand that. But uh…Continue.
The game will be bad releasing now or later… It’s blizz, they don’t scrap their awesome ideas of a system, Azerite armor, Corruption cough cough.
Just like BFA, SL systems will carry on to the end of the expansion no matter how good or bad they are.
In a game where anyone can do PvP, M+, raid, farming and etc, there is no point in locking players for a whole week to a covenant.
Some will say that if you aren’t going to Min-Max it shouldn’t matter and all that but in the with raider…io and what not it does as anyone can see everything that goes with your character and decide not to invite you to groups for said reasons.
