It looks fine to me, I’m not seeing the fugly part. It reminds me of a small pc tower. The clean lines and shape will make it easy to find a place for it to sit.
When you said fugly I was imagining some odd shaped monstrosity or with some kind of strange color. I’ve seen fair worse consoles.

Okay. Last time I touched an xbox was like 2008 so… whatever? Why is this on a WoW forum?

On the software front, Microsoft has been trying to merge the concept of Xbox into Windows for a while now. I think this is the next step in that. They want it to be seen more as a fixed-spec Windows gaming PC and less of a console.
Will be interesting to see what Sony does with the PS5 (no, that dev kit isn’t anything close to the final product). I have a hunch that trying to smoosh consoles and PCs together into the same thing will backfire on MS and Sony will be the dominant of the two consoles for another generation.
What was wrong with the wii?
There is a section for entertainment, hopefully the thread can be moved there.
I’m sure the op was hoping for a microsoft/xbox bash party. (Otherwise I don’t know what the op was aiming to accomplish with this.)

Hah. Silly OP. We just bash Blizzard here!

I have no idea what this is doing in general discussion. It has nothing to do with World of Warcraft. Flagged for spam.

I mean if it has the word Wii in it…
I’m assuming that as well!
Wii made breaking sales when it came out
Wii U didn’t
Controllers were cool for a few games but super gimmicky in a lot more. Most people I knew who seriously used their Wii ended up buying a more traditional replacement controller (probably a Nintendo Pro). This applies to the Wii U as well.
That, and it for some reason didn’t include HDMI support which looked bad even back then and has aged very badly… TVs have been dropping component support more and more over the years, meaning that you won’t be able to hook up your Wii without an adapter even though your PS3 (which was released a week before the Wii) can connect just fine.
Sure those are tech issues. I’d argue the best wii games have aged really well. It was never meant to be a gamer platform.
The Wii’s games are/were fine, it (along with the Wii U) are just odd consoles.
i literally have a wii u on my desk right now, it uses HDMI, wii was the last nintendo console to use RCA cables, which was max at 480p
however there was ways to mod the wii to use HDMI
Yes, that’s what I said. The post was about the Wii except for the part about the Wii U sharing the Wii’s oddball controller problem.
So… 2 games? I thought you were criticizing the console itself.
Also, I thought Skyward Sword got a whole lot of critical praise?
I can go on if you’d like
The myriad of gimmicky “sports” games on there, anything Sonic related ever, pretty much anything that’s not one of Nintendo’s coveted children like Zelda or Mario and even then that’s not a given as I stated Other M.
