He has been playing wow since OG TBC. He is a streamer. He is playing the game continuously for the past decade and half. He must have logged thousand hours in Wrath. Him not playing wrath or playing HC is good thing for the rest of the player base.
One less streamer is always good for the wow populace.

It wasnt a weak expansion and what we have now isnt Wrath. Literally. It has stuff that wrath never had, and leaving things out that it did have.
Its a worse version of what Wrath was.
ive heard this from multiple people 2600+ who actually parked their mages for wrath due to this. Why play 10/10ths on a mage when you can cruise on an easier class

Honestly itās hard to disagree with him, everybody is just taking their time enjoying the journey over racing to hit max level just to raid log. Thatās not to say you canāt enjoy the game like this but a lot of people looking for the nostalgia hit are enjoying the slow leveling of hardcore WoW. Going through each zone again like we did when we where kids and getting joy out of finding an upgrade to your gear. Classic 2019 was cool to see everybody playing but once pvp came out it turned into dungeon leveling just like retail has been for a bit (1-60 in dungeons then level through the current expansion I mean). To each their own I guess but I agree with xaryu.

He also quit like halfway through TBC. He was one of my favorite mages to watch, but he has fallen to retail since dragon flight came out along with a lot of other streamers.
Wrath on a single patch without more changes is rough for top pvpers. Itās the reason ele shamans and preg pallies dominate arenas. Plus mages really arenāt that great in this Wrath patch compared to other classes. Maybe in S8 they will come around, but right now mages are just cc and kite bots. While those are strong abilities, it makes mage just not fun to play.
Itās no surprise that Xar and Ven have bailed on Wrath.

No thanks. I dont need to try to grow an imaginery branch by playing a 20 year game which is pretty much beaten 20 times over in some make believe hardcore function that probably most players ignore upon death because of the brutal leveling involved for a new character.

Its logged (seems to be not unlike how say raider io knows you did raid/mythic D stuff no player interaction beyond add on install). and broadcasted.
set for guild by defualt but if you want tons of raid notificationsā¦you can turn that on and all will pop all the messages game wide. A small window also shows game wide those who have fallen in a subtler wayā¦

To be fair, heās only saying that because wrath is a relog expansion and hard-core reminds him of when he was 12.
I can guarantee though that hard-core, will give you to a fresh perspective on the game because itās challenging and very risky even the most menial mobs and tasks.
Itās frustrating at times, but itās a true personal challenge. I could just never delete a character that Iāve done so many hours intoā¦ no way!.
Maybe you can enlighten me, is there a way to try hard core and if you die, you donāt get the prestige but keep your character?
Iād be willing to go through the challenge if and only if I screw up and dye thereās enough people to still play with on the server if I selfishly keep my character. Iāve noticed that a lot of hard-core servers are hard-core only. Like bloodsail.
For some reason when my friend first started back in 2005 the camera was zoomed all the way out but in a top down (warcraft 3 vibes) view and he was playing his Shaman like that for the first 10 levels w/o knowing you can change the camera XD
