Xal'atath Redemption Arc

So far, from what I can tell, Xal’atath has good intentions but poor execution. The carnage she’s leaving behind is not good, but I think Xal’atath herself is trying to do what she thinks is right and nothing more.

Could we see a redemption arc for Xal’atath in Midnight or Last Titan? Ideally, Xal’atath and Alleria would become a powerful duo and bring prosperity to Azeroth. It’d be very interesting to see how it would all play out.

just because someone smiles does not mean they have good intentions.

Devouring the Universe isn’t a good intention.

Killing People :white_check_mark:

Chances are high based on WoW precedent as well as other entire franchises, cough Starcraft lol.

The universe is a bad place, devouring it removes evil.

Funny enough, I was thinking the Dark Heart is gathering cosmic powers which fulfilled the Jailer’s quote. Still a long way to see what happens in the plot but take that with your concept. :robot::thought_balloon:

A cosmos divided will not survive what is to come

Sums it up nicely really.

Where as in another universe…there is a devout servant of Khorne.
He’s had many champions in old world and 40k.

Blood for the blood god. Skulls for the skull throne.

Khorne and his followers aren’t bad guys. A world is just a better place when you’ve killed everything on it. I mean it solves many problems.

No more crime. Poverty, hunger. Inter political strife.
Since the whole place got cut down you see.

See khorne is very EEO. there is no prejudice from even his followers. Any skull will do. Even his people. when bored they kill each other too. It really is all about getting 1 more skull to the skull throne honestly.

If you get right down to it, all of the big good/evil questions come right down to this, and running some sort of balance between being a force for good which does mean getting rid of evil, and how many babies it’s okay to throw out with the bathwater because the answer is clearly not zero.

If it was zero then it would be better not to have a justice system because no matter how well you screen, some innocent people get punished.

But once you’ve said, well, that’s actually okay, you have to wonder why anyone actively opposes getting rid of the universe. It’s not based on any fundamentally wrong principle.

Simping for Xal’atath.

This is Sylvanas 2.0.

Xalatath needs to get the Gul’dan treatment or worse.

But I’m guessing Blizzard won’t do that to her since she’s a gurrrrrrrrrl~

Remember, she isn’t a void elf that is confused- This is a literal void lord using a void elf costume.

Yep.

It be okay to have a villain type to just really enjoy their work. they should try it. It doesn’t have to be garrosh 1 dimensional.

In another lore there is Grandfather NUrgle. He is just sharing his gifts like a “kindly” grandfather. The gifts of plague, pestilence, death…decent chance of coming back to life to spread more plague.

Now if the rest of the world or Universe thinks this gift is a bad thing that is a “them” problem really lol.

Redemption Arc…for Xal’atath? Even when she was in that blade she killed people, devoured people…did a huge amount of evil things only to devour her wielder as they were weak. Yeah no…if anything she’ll be kissing my paws by Last Titan and fall back into line aiding me endeavors or crushed under foot. There is no redeeming Xal’atath only showing her who’s boss and bringing this eldritch terror in an elf costume under control

Yeah, Sylvanas got Kerrigan’d lol.

And guess what?

Azshara also isn’t dead, and she’s an evil, sexy woman. She’s likely also going to ‘help us’ and already has to some extent with N’zoth. She’s just MIA at the moment.

Xal’atath will very likely follow this as well, unless Blizzard has the brass to actually let us defeat her.

Personally I don’t think we can judge evil, true evil on our moral and ethical standards. We have to judge on intention. That doesn’t mean we can’t see an action as intolerable, but if there is no intent to cause harm if the intent is good then how can we say an action is truly evil? Lets be clear, I’m not justifying bad actions, I’m just saying what we see as evil is not evil, true evil has to come from the heart, it has to have an intent to do bad things.

I thought Alleria was Sylvanas 2.0.

Is Windrunner.
Is ranger/archer
Has insanely powerful shadow magic
Has deep connection to big mustache twirling bad guy
Insists on their autonomy from said bad guy, but constantly plays into their plans

You won’t like it, but Xal’atath is Jailer 2.0 in this analogy (now with feet!)
