Every time I get stunned while casting slicing winds in arenas it’ll bug and stop working, takes a relog to fix. Confused on why blizzard would implement our pvp tier set to proc from SW when it’s a bugged spell they refuse to fix. I see posts going back years talking of the same bug. Fix it or fix the tier set idc but you can’t have both being affected…

this is staged spells in general not just SW - if you get interrupted in some way during it, it breaks
What’s crazy is that this bug has been around before 11.2, and they design a tier set bonus utilizing a bugged spell. Rip monks in pvp.

Not to mention if your opponent just spams jump and they are moving up or down when your slicing winds hits them it will not register as a hit. In pvp good players can immune this attack by just jumping when you charge it.
That they make a tier set that requires a capstone skill and forces the use of some momentum based rotation.
Was prepping my wind walker to be a first alt and just noticed this…
They were doing this rotation changing capstone tier set with feral in shadowlands and it needs to stop.

seriously why is a whole 2 and 4 tier set linked to spell that is an optional talent. its like they want people to play shadowpan. why not have it linked to one of the spells in hero talents like most classes.

I don’t pvp, but for what it’s worth Slicing Winds is what made me swap off my monk as main for the first time since I started playing the game back in WoD. I hate this ability so much and I wish it would just have stayed in Plunderstorm where it was a fun mobility spell for THAT game.

Slicing winds is a terrible ability in pretty much every way.
It removes an amazing movement cooldown. It bugs out constantly… not doing damage, not going off when it should, and sending you no where would you full charged it just to name a few. It locks you in place… because the mobile dps that already had too many channeled spells needed another one.
That ability is trash and you can’t prove me wrong.

Hey, just an FYI, I figured out if your Slicing Winds bugs out in arena (Shuffle is a prime example) you can fix it by re-speccing into FSK, and then cast FSK at the same time as you respec back into Slicing Winds, if you time it right, as soon as you swap talents, it should cast Slicing Winds and fix it. (This only works if respeccing is instant, like in arena/shuffle)
Obviously doesn’t excuse this bug existing in the first place but it’s something :>

Yeah, you literally have to hit respec at the exact same time as you cast it, if you mistime it, it’ll actually cast FSK and put it on CD, then it won’t let you.
I will say I play on oceanic and generally have 200+ ping in these lobbies, could potentially be why I’m able to do it, but I’m curious to see if others can too.
