Once Upon a Time in the development days of Burning Crusade, Blood Elves were announced for the Horde but the Alliance counterpart was yet to be revealed. Blizzard unveiled an April Fool’s Joke listing “Wisps” as the BC Alliance Race. No skin, no body type, no hair, ears, etc. Just faces in floating balls of light.

Pandaren started their existance as April Fools jokes. Perhaps…someday…Wisps, maybe?
