WSG is horrible

I just died 4 times in a row tonight in duskwood while leveling my pally and each time I would be immediately chunked for half my hp by wind serpents from behind trees (where I couldn’t see them) . No point to even try and fight back because with only 1000hp the 170 dmg hits every few seconds have me at 50% hp before the hunter even has to fire a shot and even if you stun the pet the hunter just immediately concussive shots you and the pets hits you from max range once the stun wears off.

The problem is that there is an undocumented damage reduction in WSG (about 20-25%, not including the headband that gives 5%) but no reduction to healing. Hunter pets also seem to ignore the damage reduction and continue to do full damage, which is why it’s probably impossible to 1v1 a hunter pet inside WSG. These both easily explain why those classes are huge problems

yeah that’s what happens when you nerf damage by 25% across the board but do nothing about healing :expressionless: priests become OP

WSG helm reduces crit chance by 5% and damage taken by 5%.

Right, so the whole problem compounds itself and turns healers, especially priests, into gods in that BG.

The crit in the grand scheme of things doesnt really matter.

The flat dmg reduction is enormous. it “nerfs” damage while simultaneously buffing healing by more than the “20%”

Every numerical healing digit is buffed indirectly by the reduction of direct damage. So it is more than a 20% healing buff. 33% currently.

i play a priest as an alt, penance costs nothing. It needs a mana cost increase

I think the number from someone who figured it out, (I forget the post, might have been on Reddit) was somewhere in the 35-40% range if everyone is wearing the DR helm as well.

The base resilience add is that broken for healers.

Correct. There is no reason to bring someone like a Rsham or Hpal. You are actually griefing your roster by doing so. Sure side heals are ok, but thats semantics.

Exactly, which is why so many people (including myself as a mage) are screaming about the gatekeeping premade groups do.

4 healers and 4 hunters is almost the standard
1 druid to FC
1 rogue for that… job

Locks, mages, palis, warriors, and shammy aren’t part of it. Can we get into them, yep, but it’s significantly harder and usually just for the “we’re a premade, maybe they’ll /afk when they see we’re all from the same server” effect.

All of this is player driven due to Blizzard screwing the BG and Ashenvale up so badly.

Priest is the most powerful thing in the game, by a mile.

Paladin won P1 from a rune standpoint. 100%

Hehe, yes, we are like a god, but I doubt it will last long, at level 30 we will no longer be relevant.
But I heard about warriors will get a gladiator stand rune… Maybe I should re-roll warrior.

100% correct. Penance ruined the entire P1

Locks gets extremely powerful in phase 2 especially with Succy seduction and fel hound. These priest are going to have such a problem it will even things out.

Just wait for phase 2 before jumping to conclusions

Yeah. People just always leave out the helm and that’s like the most important part. It makes you ridiculously tanky and heals aren’t affected.

Precisely, it wouldn’t surprise me if a chunk of players don’t know it exists though…
