Wrath of the Bolvar discussion

warlocks are into breath control

Given that we can all spend, like, ten minutes underwater before surfacing, I’m not sure why we need Water Breathing at all.

Ele got a fist weapon and a shield, a combination that could not be mogged in any other form except with other fist weapons and shields.

We got the longer breath bars in Cata or something–when water breathing for shaman was removed (but not from warlock).

If it makes you feel any better the only thing we have left that makes us different from mages and priests is our demonic circle and water breathing.

Oh, and demonic circle is now a talent we have to choose between that and mortal coil (old death coil).

In fact, name a cool thing we have and it’s probably a talent now that I have to choose between instead of baseline.

Yeah that’s Blizzard class design nowadays

Even though I hate totems personally, shaman lost like 90% of its totems, the class’s iconic ability. Most of them are talents now.

Man I just realized that Kul Tirans, despite being on or in water most of their lives, can’t learn a water breathing spell since they are stuck with shamans instead of warlocks

Dang it Blizz. Suyo said it good, I think. It’s just Blizzard class design for all of us.

We’re all victims.

I still cry at night over what they did to ret

The cruel ironies of life.

remember glyph of nightmares, verdant spheres, and dark apotheosis?

MoP era warlock was the best this games ever seen

I saw many a succubus RPer using dark apotheosis in that time.

Good times.

Remember how everyone else’s class description had “Damage-dealer,” or “Support” or “Tank” and then Warlock’s was “Cool guy?”

Shaman will probably always be the black sheep. Resto is usually OK, which makes sense as a healer, but ele and enhance flip flop so hard–and it’s only between being OK and being awful, not being great and awful.

The last time ele felt fun was MoP. Coincidentally, that’s also the last time arms warrior felt fun–both classes/specs being the two most reliant on gear scaling. Start the expansion at the bottom, end it at the top only through stat bloat so that people think you’re OP and you get nerfed for next expansion.

Warlocks deserve to suffer because Affliction still exists in its current state and has been since Emerald Nightmare.

I still think bringing back Fray Island was a missed opportunity.
