Wrath lfd please read

No.

Teleporting is not an issue. No one really cares about that.

Cross-Realm is a HUGE issue and should be turned off by default and should not have any sort of toggle on the player side.

LFD with Cross-Realm was a HUGE mistake.

Better idea: Make it so you can’t click “Need” on something you literally cannot use. Even better, make it so you can only click it on your armor type or a weapon you can actually equip.

They did that because it was easier and cheaper to hire them than to prosecute them. Go watch the DiCaprio/Hanks movie “Catch Me If You Can”. It’s the same scenario. They figured out stuff Blizzard didn’t see, so it was better to tap their knowledge than to turn them into complete enemies.

Or, it’s because a private server (singular) has a different landscape than the official servers (plural).

They may run the same code, but multiple servers being interconnected with that code do NOT run the same as a single server independent of anything else.

Your analogy is flawed.

At this moment right now the Frostmourne server is at 12000 people online (which is the max allowed) and has a queue. The Icecrown server has 12000 people online right now and also has a queue. Lordaeron has 6000 players online and Blackrock (the 80 premades server) is at 3000. The main Warmane servers all have more players online than every TBC server at the moment.

Please have a clue what you’re taking about before you post.

Perhaps. But then you’re comparing a multibillion company with practically unlimited resources to a…what? small group of friends who started out likely hosting a server out of their garage? ANd they ahve very limited resources.

Oh, and also, Warmane realms are all connected in the same manner as retail (for PvP instances). So if a small gang out of a garage with 2-3 devs managed to figure it out and MAKE IT WORK, so that a decade later these servers are still popping, I’m sure Blizzard can too.

The people running private servers had as much to do with creating Vanilla, TBC, and Wrath as the people currently working at Blizzard.

vs 300,000+ in TBC classic. It’s orders of magnitude smaller.

That’s not the number of people currently online you’re looking at. :man_facepalming: That’s simply active users in the past 30 days. Warmane has 30k online at this very second. Wouldn’t surprise me if TBC currently has less online right now.

But whatever, you’re going to believe whatever you want. But the point is a private server is already wildly popular and will become even more popular if Blizz cuts systems from Wrath and drives more players back to private servers.

By stealing.

LFD is fine. I play on warmane also. Also anyone saying private isn’t equal to blizz server is an idiot. Game will be social even with lfd.

They aren’t similar but not for the same reason that others above have stated. They’re not comparable because these Pservers are usually a list of 1-4 mega-servers and that’s it. They don’t have realm-lists with 30+ realms the way retail does which leads to severe imbalance and abandoned realms.

This is actually the reason I want a hybrid LFG feature and not the OG version of RDF. It puts a band-aid on an issue that not enough people are paying attention to, there’s just too many dead weight realms taking up resources and causing people to complain about stuff that shouldn’t be the focus.

Obviously RDF won’t have a bad social impact on those Pservers because there’s already 12,000 people on the realm and a decent split for both factions. If anything, that goes to show that merging smaller realms and just deleting dead ones that are abandoned is way more beneficial than just RDF alone. People think their dead realm will magically feel alive if they’re able to run Sunken Temple at 2 am with andys from different realms, but having a shorter realm list with decently balanced factions and high population is more beneficial than an auto que.

They’re never going to merge, just drop it, they connect, not merge.

So what you’re saying is anyone on a somewhat low population server should not be able to play the game and they should either one have to pay probably 50 bucks at least to transfer to a higher pop serve but you’re a higher pop server because let’s be honest most people have at least 1 alt at this point.

Or quit the game G that’s really good for an MMO concerning the game doesn’t work without people And for the record you’re quite wrong there are people that don’t like the aspect of teleporting to the dungeon I’m not one of them I’m just saying give people the option what’s wrong with that.

Better idea: Make it so you can’t click “Need” on something you literally cannot use. Even better, make it so you can only click it on your armor type or a weapon you can actually equip.

I’m not seeing that Man talk about taking what I say in blowing have proportion So basically I’m trying to put a suggestion to help with the potential ninja looting problem so I don’t know maybe blizzard will actually put in rfd.

Or are you actually going to try to argue that looking at LFG bulletin board for 2 hours plus is actually a fun gaming experience.

Like it or not Personal loot in dungeons would be much better for one simple reason It’s a group of random people Or even if an organized group like it or not.

It even makes people that organize groups better Mainly because Items based on your specialization no granted there could be a little bit of caveat there.

For example of your tune is retribution And you’re trying to get tanking gear If but you could always switch that and they could put that as an option nothing wrong with that.

And it’s a whole heck a lot better than people getting booted because well I don’t want to take the chance of having to roll against this person if ex thing drops And people just kick you from the group no it doesn’t stop people from leaving after a certain boss is dead true.

But at the very least it helps with the problem and at the very least I’m throwing out suggestions unlike you or are you one of those people that just doesn’t want rfd in Because it’s such a fun experience right now spamming LFG trying to get a group for something.

So do tell me If oh wise one if you don’t like my suggestions what would be your idea Or is your suggestion simply going to be you’re completely happy the fact that there is no rfd?

Yeah you really do have the moral high ground especially when you use that cough cough moral high ground to make fun of other people yeah real Moral.

I don’t even think you understand the definition of morality Or if you understand it you choose to ignore it.
