Wrath classic is rated a 11. What makes a game go from 90 to 11, the answer is simple GDKP…if the classic devs cared about the game they would resolve this problem but they dont care cause to their execs they’re getting profit numbers and the games already made so no effort development is needed.
We’re just in a wallet slot machine.

GDKPs were also around back then.
All that number shows you is that those 109 players dislike WoW classic. It’s hardly a representative figure.

Speak for yourself, I dont gdkp, guild runs are so much more enjoyable. Its really your call to include yourself in them.

I never even heard the term GDKP until 2023, and I played all of WoW through Cata all the way from vanilla beta.

I knew of them in Vanilla when I started in 2006.

The real answer is the relatively recent plague of review bombing by neckbeards of any game released by a developer with negative publicity.

I was an anti gkdper but now I’m convinced it’s better. All the 24 people kissing *ss to the loot council, fake laughing at jokes, just trying to get on a friendly level for a chance to actually get loot is far worse then people being normal humans and using gold for gear.

User reviews are rarely an accurate metric to a game’s quality, as nearly all user reviews are subject to their personal bias.

Yeah, they have definitely been around from basically the start. Old GDKPs were more likely to be a guild’s loot system than on a PuG though.
Individual player skill getting better made the GDKP PuG scene way larger this time around.

Which existed in OG WotLK
Okay…and how does one stop GDKPs?
No. You can’t have ‘humans monitoring it’. This is a company. If it can’t be automated, they won’t do it.
Hate to break it to you but GDKPs were rolling strong in original WOTLK.

Peope that say this didn’t play back then and are just repeating someone else. Gdkps were very few and far between. It was like 90% ms/os. Now it’s probably 98% gdkp and very rarely a ms/os run.
It’s not even comparable to say “people did gdkps in og wrath”

There also just weren’t that many PuGs back then in general. Most of the raid content was viewed as guild only.
People PuGing more is the larger driver to GDKPs. I don’t really view it as a negative though… I’m not particularly harmed by the gdkps existing. I just don’t do them.

GDKPs also do nothing to harm the state of the game. If you dont like them you just avoid them.

The RMT and gold inflation folks don’t care they’re ruining the game, they just want the fact they spent $60 on gold to still have value.

Many reasons. GDKP might be a part of it but the main reason is that Wrath aged terribly. The gameplay was good for 2008 but lacks the depth of endgame nowdays.
How is it ruining the game?
Really think about it. Are mats expensive? Nope. Can you make gold easily in game? Yup. In fact the only thing RMT HAS hurt is GDKPs. The cost of gear has gone up but nothing else really has.
Sooo unless you are doing GDKPs you are unaffected.
It’s stupid to blame GDKP on a user based rating board because users are the ones doing GDKP in the first place. If players didn’t want GDKP, they wouldn’t do GDKP, and there would be no GDKP. It makes no sense to do it then go complain about it.
