Me too as far as time played, since 2004.
I DO WANT RDF. IT IS LESS TOXIC THAN THE NEW LFG TOOL FOR THE OVERALL HEALTH OF THIS GAME.

Gonna be funny when an addon that scans the lfg tool and auto invites the role your party needs to the group at the click of a button gets popularized 2 weeks into the expansion, it’ll be rdf minus the teleport and this will all have been a giant waste of time the same way the bulletin board destroyed the current lfg

It doesn’t appear that way. Because unless you are going to highjack another channel for finding groups, you’re using that tool to get access to the channel you are supposed to LFG in lol.

I feel like they have to commit though. No group should decide between getting loot for week, or doing heroic progression for week with potential for no gear. They need to be able to go “well, we’re out of time working on heroic, lets drop to normal and clear”

Blizzard may straight up use the fact everyone who wants to use the LFG channel has to use the LFG tool as a reason it’s, “successful” and, “popular” and not add RDF because LFG is already so utilized.
They’re so predictable - it’s either this, or they, “listen to feedback” late in Wrath Classic and add RDF.

While I don’t play on a mega server, I do play on one that is moderately populated. Not having LFD will be a huge problem for myself and others who cant play during primetime hours due to work or other life reasons.
I’ve actually gone out of my way to try and create a guild/community specifically for people like us and quite frankly, the pool of players is small for my server. I’ve spent hours some nights trying to find each role for dungeons and its gotten to the point where we just might not run dungeons some evenings due to there not being enough bodies. just to clarify, its not just a tank/healer problem… there’s been dungeons where we couldn’t find any DPS!!
Its truly unfortunate that Blizzard is taking away such an important tool for players. I don’t know how our server activity is going to remain a few months in.

Sounds like depending on how it’s coded it might not be possible.
How many people sit in the dungeon looking for people? And you can absolutely run with guildies and friends, but you won’t always fill a group - and if you want to PuG, you need to use the LFG tool.

LFD also doesn’t prevent you from doing that 
However you can no longer access the global LFG channel without using the LFG tool.
