He is the single biggest MMO content creator on the planet, he has managed to not only interview Ion Hazzikostas but has communications with Congressional Reps like Ted Cruz over issues regarding Lootboxes in games/etc.
This man has managed to elevate WoW and bring in new players to this game all while receiving zero support or love from Blizzard.
It is also a KNOWN fact that when he left WoW and went to FF14 that millions of people unsubscribed with him to make the move.
I believe Asmongold not only helped make WoW as popular as it is today, but Blizzard needs to fall in line along with the Community and show some love and support for their top content creator.
Can you imagine if it was him. I would hope no one has a messiah complex like this. We’re all human that will be six feet under one day. I cannot stand pride and run from it.
I think he is smart and I like his content but he is not the reason. Ppl are going to play if they want to or not - not because of a streamer.
That’s like saying Metallica would be bankrupt without people streaming their videos on Youtube. I like Asmongolds content but WOW made him, not the other way around. He merely makes it more popular if at all.
It’s one thing to say he’s got influence, which he does, but it’s another thing to claim that WoW would be nothing without him like you’re doing.
I mean they run the government, why should he not be proud? Asmongold might be responsible for how games are regulated in USA in the future, he is one of the biggest influencers out right now and should be given his props.
Yeah maybe if you’re some out of touch boomer but Ninja fell off hard while Asmongold has had a longer and more thriving career.
I am willing to bet 90% or more of the WoW population knows Asmongold, you are in the minority if you don’t recognize him at this point in his career.
Imagine being a WoW fanboy yourself and not admitting Asmongold literally birthed the popularity for this title, it’s very obvious if you even do a little bit of research…
This game was here and had a HUGE fan base BEFORE he started so you need to wake up and stop being a fanboy of someone who is a player like US and doesn’t matter what he thinks he is like us just makes money on it .
