Nope, still there, but it’s unlikely that he’ll stay there once the Microsoft purchase is completely. I don’t think Microsoft is keeping any of the Activision Blizzard executives.

Because they’re hoping that they’ll be taken seriously and it’ll further degrade the game and push it toward death. Some people are only happy watching the world burn.
