They win getting nice gear that makes them feel like they won but all they did was remove all the content from the game
Just one look at Classic proves this false. No token, tons of boxers (and even botters, no matter how many ban waves they do.)
More or less my argument as well. The presence of the token or buying titles doesn’t affect competition or the talent pool at all. You can buy the achievements, but that doesn’t mean you can hang with players who got it the hard way. All people are doing is buying an achievement.
And most of them are only doing that because of all the “LF1M LINK ACHIEVE” groups. Personally I’m happy people can buy a run to get the achievement for that, so that people stop equating achievements/gamerscore with skill.
It’s much too late to talk about things that ruined the game.
A lot of you were all on board, just like you were with everything else Blizzard did leading to this point…
…the WoW token doesn’t even seem like it’s 1% of the problem since people did and still buy gold SINCE Vanilla from outside sources/friends.
Blizzard just wanted a piece of that gold selling pie.
The obvious difference is that before Blizzard started selling gold (you guys even defended it and really believed it wasn’t Blizzard selling the gold) it wasn’t that “common” or accepted.
But trust me, WoW has been ruined since they started heavily dumbing down classes and raids in TBC just so the bad players could finally learn how to play.
i have eyes.
Personal experience means nothing on the forums so I have been told many times, also, we don’t know if you are lying.
Rather have WoW tokens than even more spam in trade from gold sellers.

You seriously think tbc raids… were… dumbed down from vanilla?
You seriously think tbc raids… were… dumbed down from vanilla?
No actually you’re right.
It was Wrath that started dumbing them down.
Look, it’s better than the alternative which was years and years of Chinese gold sellers earning their gold by hacking accounts and stealing everything on them. At least this is legitimate. The only thing of any value you can buy with gold anymore is “a carry” and if you need carries to get gear, well I say that’s money well and sadly spent.
Biggest plus is the cut down of gold spammers whispering me, spamming chat, and random mail.
Personal experience means nothing on the forums so I have been told many times
not sure who told you that.
if someone doesn’t have personal experience with a thing, their opinion isn’t worth much.
also, we don’t know if you are lying.
maybe i’m actually blind, and am using some sort of tts
…just to annoy you.
if someone doesn’t have personal experience with a thing, their opinion isn’t worth much.
Maybe, but all of our experiences are different in game. In fact, I have never seen you in game.
maybe i’m actually blind, and am using some sort of tts
I would be impressed if you are using braille and Microsoft Sam.
Yes, I know people use the WoW Token to pay for their subscription when they otherwise wouldn’t be able to.
It’s nice that you know that. Tokens have been a huge help to me, given I’m on a pension and have to budget carefully. On that point alone, Tokens are extremely handy.
boost and carry spam
Happened before tokens - happens in Classic now, which has no Tokens. So that point is voided.
Blizzard turning a blind eye to rulebreakers
You know that for a fact, do you? Despite the fact that I have reported a number of them, and received ingame mails from Blizzard Support thanking me and saying that the accounts had been actioned. I guess they could be lying. I also guess they could be telling the truth, because why bother telling me if all they were doing was nothing.
a multiboxing epidemic
Something else that has existed before tokens.
Gold has become so fluid that it has practically lost its meaning.
What is ‘fluid’ in this context? And it doesn’t matter whether or not inflation is at work, because it balances out. Things cost more gold and we make more gold. While we could probably do with something like a Platinum piece to help sort the numbers, ultimately it doesnt actually matter. So we earn 2000 gold for a set of world quests - and it costs 2000 to buy an item we want. The end result is the same if you took a couple of zeros at either end of the equation.
And it’s nonsense to say that tokens have been killing the game. There are plenty of things that are an issue with WoW but tokens aren’t one of them. They have helped reduce the number of people out there buying gold and getting their game and their bank accounts hacked, and that alone makes them worthwhile.
I have never seen you in game.
to be fair, you can’t even show that you play the game, so claiming that you haven’t seen someone, doesn’t say much.

It would be fair to say you can’t even show you play the game as well. You might be posting from your mother’s account or something.
Posting on an alt account is weak
What’s even more shameful is when people make a second account and pay a sub for it to post on forums
magine being the person who plays WoW who doesn’t visit the forums, doesn’t theorycraft (because no time), doesn’t read icy veins or cookie cutter ways to play the game. Imagine being that person and playing BFA to win.
Imagine a game that requires hours of research on Google to win.
If it’s against the rules to advertise, then why are there so many people advertising?
Because they can’t instantly silence people without a report? By that logic, why do people harass or grief if it’s against the rules?
What meaning does gold have if I can just magic some up using my credit card?
But it isn’t “just magic’d up”. It is gold someone else farmed that they are paying for $15 of account balance or a month of game time.
Posting on an alt account is weak
It isn’t weak, but whatever you think.
What’s even more shameful is when people make a second account and pay a sub for it to post on forums
There is no shame in having multiple accounts.
Main banned then or are you worried people will pick on you for posting on your main for some reason?
Nope, I have always posted on a low level and and always will in the future. I like the fact it really gets people in a twist that want to compare pixels. My opinion > your opinion because my pixels > your pixels! I enjoy the comedy of the forums.
