WoW Tokens are ruining the game

so you don’t have stats which state “half of your guild” does a thing, even though you’re claiming they do?
…but you expect people to take your word about created statistics, when you’re not willing to do the same?

i’m not even sure what you’re waffling on about at this point.
i don’t recall requesting any game changes.

and its all been streamlined and made very easy to do.
Thats design.

Death to hyperspawns!

I don’t know what this means. If you’re talking about someone running bot trains that’s a botting problem

I’m waiting for Blizz to comment on this as I have no way of knowing the effect multiboxers have on this.

well its a case of that being the only reasonable cause for people being upset

boosts and carries have been a thing since at least WotLK heck there was gdkp

It’s always been a thing yes, but it’s become mainstream only recently. Up until WotLK and arguably up until MoP/WoD the overwhelming majority of players didn’t have the gold to afford carries/boosts, and those buying gold to facilitate it were relatively few in number.

You know I am going to say that the token system really has helped in one key aspect you are forgetting.

It took power away from Gold spammers, and the hacking gold farmers that would steal accounts get them banned, and much more to the point its rare you even see a Gold sellers ad.

Go to PSO2 and you will see their chat littered with In-game Meseta currency advertisement sites.

Remove the token you will welcome those bastards back and then you will kill wow for sure.

Of Course perhaps you want the Gold sellers to come back. Perhaps you want to sell gold yourself… Gold Farmer is that you?

Nah, back then I remember all of us doing Karazhan 10-man, battlegrounds and arena and having a blast.

Maybe stepping foot in SSC or TK, Isle of Quel’danas and Sunwell towards the end, grabbing some Vengeful Gladiator pieces, and that was it.

The few stories of players buying chinese gold farmer’s gold and getting hacked and banned, we’d laugh at those.

I played the game and got my epic flying mount, did my Skyguard dailies just like everyone else.

I guess my head was in the sand because I didn’t buy my way around, right?

No the problem are people like you that keep crying about tokens.

I have not paid for game time since the tokens came out & Expacs since we were able to buy them with Blizzard account money.

I made all my gold doing World Quests, Emissaries. If tokens didn’t exist I would have quit the game over 5 years ago.

based on the amount of people who paid for carries for their ZA bear, i’m going to have to disagree with this.

Think of this. That money is transferred from one player to the next, it’s not extra game producing gold. It’s not the same as someone buying gold that never existed. It wouldn’t hurt the economy.

Blizz wins here from having an extra 5 bucks plus person who handed over the gold spent game time making it, and they will have to, again. Healthy buisness keeps wow alive and if you’re enjoying the game, that should be important to you.

You are correct they could all be lying like you might be.

You been waffling around the whole time.

I’ve been getting a little over 2k gold from each calling on the beta. If that goes live, people won’t have to buy as many tokens just to afford repairs and transmog.

so you think i’m lying about there being more multiboxers in the game now, than what there were 5 years ago, due to zero monetary outlay?

well now i KNOW you don’t play the game

I mean you don’t have any stats so more waffling?

i have eyes.

do people actually buy a token for repairs?? jeez man just do a couple old raids

I doubt the Devs will be doing anything about it anytime soon. It’s making them a fortune on players who love to blow their Blizzcoins on HotS Lootboxes.

Ah the day long battle

Sadly blizzard has been making the game more and more accessible to players who are willing to spend money to not play the game anymore

It’s pretty shocking on these forums, there is a stigma around any pay to win systems in MMOs being a horrible idea and yet we have so many defenders of said systems here

what do people “win” by paying with tokens?

its a good thing the current discourse has not shifted to ‘token traders are leeches’ etc

right?

Cause the motivations now built into this game which exist to encourage people spending real life money, for gold. Have to exist, because you do not pay a sub.

Think about this. You could find the only people playing at the end, are not paying a cent.
