The issue will be the glut of people paying real money for the token to sell on the AH to shore up their gold supplies for the beginning of the expansion. Couple that with people being reluctant to spend gold at the beginning, the token prices in the AH will be driven down, not up.
They went down another10k once that trump money started rolling in. Kinda sad really.

Yeah, I used my garrison gold on game time and stored tokens at an average of ~25k. Never got to buy below 20k as some said they did.
Generally, the lower the price of the WoW token in terms of WoW gold, the more people who spend real money buying WoW tokens are playing the game. When âno one spending real moneyâ is playing the game, the token price on the AH increases.
Thatâs why the price of a token in WoW gold usually drops close to and after a new xpac launch. People want to buy the new xpac boes, mats, pets and mounts and have the disposible cash to do it (through WoW tokens).

I bought tokens when 20k was the lowest back in WoD. Back on Apr 8, 2015 was the first time. I bought as many as I could before it made me stop. As soon as I could buy again, I bought more. I did that until I ran out of gold. My account has been paid for with tokens ever since. Iâm paid for through December 2021. When my hubby asks why I spend so much $$ on my game, I just remind him that I donât.

More adults with jobs sitting home playing wow due to coronavirus + stimulus money given to irresponsible children = more USD spent on wow tokens = overabundance of tokens on the AH = lower and lower gold price on the tokens

I have been bleeding out all my gold over the past year, might top up on tokens⌠I just hate playing wow for profit, I miss adventure exploration and immersion. 
I rarely ever use my gold in game for items so tokens are a real blessing to me. My characters are pretty much bled dry now lol
Itâs not for profit. Youâre trading in-game currency for time. Youâre buying your time. And I donât see how you miss out on any adventure exploration or immersion.
