Play Lich anyways, It’s the best version of the game they’ve ever put out. Even without the LFD, I’ve been waiting 12 years for this game to come back and I’m not missing out.
When they try to force us to Cata, then we’re gonna stick it to them for good with unsubs.

Wotlk was my 2nd favorite. They ain’t gonna take this away from me though. If they do they lose a customer of over a decade plain and simple.

You could request them to put in the function to stop gaining XP and lock yourself at 70.
That was introduced in WotLK, right? I can’t remember.
You’re not even on this game, but I do feel the same way about cataclysm.

You can always use the experience eliminator, I plan on doing so(having a wrath lvl 70 twink), but I think they planned it all along, planning out a raid comp in tbc is asinine compared to wrath classic. It is in fact the worst part of tbc classic.

They tried giving us the option to play classic forever and it’s just not something enough players are interested in for it to work. TBC is likely going to be the same. I understand your frustration but it doesn’t make sense for blizzard to run TBC forever servers if only 5% or less of players are interested in that.
They will not release Cata. So many things Blizzard regret doing in Cata. Portals to zones and a hard to follow storyline.
Maybe they will skip Cata and release MOP.
If and when we lose TBC servers I will be one step closer to the door that has the exit sign.
If and when Wrath servers are shut down I will lock the door as I leave.
I came back to play TBC and Wrath not retail.

it makes no sense to have permenent classic era servers and not tbc and wrath era servers WE MUST GET TBC ERA WHEN WRATH PRE PATCH DROPS

i really really hope so man i want to continue progress in tbc on my current toons aswell as wrath too ive played classic era since launch of tbc and its been great i think era servers will work alot better for other expansions though

I think the issue for me is, how long will this last?
If they force everyone to go to classic cataclysm when it goes live, and no wrath of the lich king permanent classic servers get announced, then you will still have your 70 toons for the bc content, minus a raid, but also a ton of other things, no ammo, no weapon skills, armor pen, etc. So it is not the same there either.
Some folks just want to play bc forever on bc forever realms. It does make a huge difference in how the game was in burning crusade VS. how the content was in burning crusade during the wrath era. It is definitely not the same.
I honestly feel like blizzard should make burning crusade forever realms for those that want that classic version of the game experience. Has blizzard not learned that forcing everyone to move forward just drives everyone insane.
I think wrath classic would be a good compromise i guess, but things did change quite a bit from bc to wrath. I do remember folks turning off exp at 60 and 70 for raiding and progression to retain those end game experiences when wrath of the lich king was current content.
But this raises a question to. Will permanent wrath of the lich king servers be added later on the line when classic cataclysm comes out? Or will we all be forced to move forward.
I am just assuming at this point, but if we are not getting permanent bc classic realms, my guess is we will not be getting permanent classic wrath era realms either.
