Keep in mind that GMs aren’t allowed to give out “game hints” if you’re just lost in the quest chain and there’s not an actual bug. They also can’t do anything about bugs but refer you to the bug report forum.
From what I’m seeing, if you’re getting “A Crack in the World”, you’ve already completed (or skipped past) “The Land Beneath”. You should be good to move forward with talking to Alexstrasza and continuing on? “The Land Beneath” is just a breadcrumb quest.
It was the player base that caused this issue with support and phone support…the 1,000’s of calls and reports they got from players about being pissed off about getting beat in PVP and that I should be ganked over and over on a daily base …and other major stupidly reports from players cause them to close down phone support then basically close down online GM help.
Are you a returning player? Its not as good as it used to be. They probably cut down on the support staff and are flogging them to work. Oh well… I still remember being told to go to the forums or wowhead multiple times since returning in BFA. xD
And have it reviewed possibly days later? Not suitable for an emergency. They used to have a way to report potentially dangerous threats to themselves or others prominently and easy to access.
Customer Support Agents are so lazy these days. I had to fight with multiple of them for over a week and do nearly all their work for them with one ticket only a few weeks ago. They never checked anything to see what the issue was, just “it’s supposed to work like this so do that, if it doesn’t work look it up on Wowhead”. I had to elevate my issue multiple times until a supervisor or assistant manager finally stepped in to get my issue resolved. Remember to always leave the worst and most scathing reviews so that their superiors know these guys suck at their job.
To my knowledge the quest you’re referring to doesn’t exist?
Either way you can try the Customer Support forums. While no actual GMs are present there the people and support agents who frequent that forum are usually very helpful.
I had nothing but good support experiences myself, so sorry for your frustrations.
PS: If you post there I do recommend being civil and cool headed. The agents are quick to swat down any bad behavior on their forums.
yeah they’ve given the name of a quest which doesn’t exist, and wonder why support have no idea what they’re talking about.
either way, they’re asking for game hints… which GMs don’t do.
if they’d taken a few seconds to refer to wowhead instead of clogging up ticket queues for no reason, they’d have been able to find the answer to their question.
…but it’s cute how everyone piles on board the “blizz r teh bad” train
To be fair, it sounds like there’s a bit of a confusing issue with skips through the Forbidden Reach content not being done causing issues like the one that the OP is describing.
From the look of it, though, they (and most of the participants in the thread) are more interested in whinging about bur bur I should be able to pick up a phone and take up someone’s time as they hold my hand and walk me through finding the right quest to pick up and what to do next because I’m allergic to using resources, and during Vanilla a GM would appear in your room if you pressed a button and play through the content for you and give you a little kiss on top of your head and now when you put in a ticket they’re like, “NO, and as a matter of fact we’re gonna frame you for MURDER” and kick your dog, and etc. etc.
Well thankfully the people in charge feel the same way. Blizzard is not a form of first responder or anything of the sort. It should not be something that people could abuse either. So again glad you are not in charge.
