Wow Responsibilites ruined the game

Most of the worry exists in trying to get into a group. If they just added a SOLO RATED PVP AND M+ QUEUE AND MMR SYSTEM 90% of your worries would be gone.
Come on blizz, even Overwatch has one. Your biggest multiplayer competition all has one.

Yes. The conversation is to help the guy realize he is his own worst enemy and is overreacting to something that can be easily simplified.

Take a break. Step away. Breathe. Do whatever you need to so that you can realize it is only the issue you make it.

If I were you, I would just try to hold out for a few weeks. The soul ash thing is going to get much easier.

I am pretty casual myself. I just do whatever my friends and family are doing. But I am having fun with my fellow casuals. We pugged the raid with my son as MT, and we got to 5/10 the first week. The mechanics are challenging but it was fun. We would have tried for more bosses but we causals can only raid on Friday and Saturday. (I should point out that I was in a big raiding guild in EQ, so I should probably say that I am raider derailed by casual-inducing circumstance).

I did a few Mythics this week, too. I even tanked a Mythic+ for the first time. I think that I’m scheduled to get a 210 or something? That is pretty casual friendly imo. And I get to pick one or something? Still not really sure what this Great Vault thing is, so I will have to check it out. I actually found out about the Great Vault when the quest popped up telling me to get some legendary thing. Talk about a nice surprise!

I just hit max level on my rogue, too, and I have been shocked how fast I am gearing up. After just a few epic BGs, I have enough gear to hold my own against non arena people.

I hear you on the grinding, though. Some people like it. Some people hate it. I have not even started on the covenant stuff on my alt because I just don’t have the time, but I think that once I hit the pvp cap, I’ll just get it done at some point.

I just don’t feel like this expansion is as grind heavy as last expansion. I had 12 max level characters last expansion, and it was pretty much impossible to play more than a couple of them because of the endless grinds. Today, I do a few dailies in the Maw and the covenant dailies. If my friends are doing something, I do it with them. If not, I pvp or log off to get my work done. To me, the dailies have not been too bad yet. Maybe get back to me on my fourth alt, though! I might be sick and tired of the grind by then.

I do hope that there are catch-up mechanics for alts. If I have done some quest a million times but want to level up an alt, what’s the big deal?

Hobbies shouldn’t include time management on this level.
Besides all of yall are standing from perspective that WoW is your only hobby. That’s the issue I have other hobbies that are much more enjoyable so having to keep up with WoW just becomes a drag hence why I uninstalled it.
I’d be doing my other hobbies and then have the random thought of, “Damn I haven’t touched WoW all week I still need to do XY and Z”.
And I would have to force myself to logon and take part in those chores.
If there was no timegated cap bs then I wouldnt have to worry about that at all. I could just take a week off doing other things and then come back and grind out progress and be on part with everyone else.

Sounds like you need to move on then. Not sure why you are here discussing developer visions on something that you are not enjoying. Go find that happy space man!

Edit: this is what I meant about time management. Sitting here griping about the game and what little control we have is bad time management. Post a complaint, move on.

I agree. It’s like two weeks in and I feel overwhelmed by the dailies. My time is limited, I get to play maybe one hour a day. Mindlessly running repetitive WQ’s or running Choreghast is not the kind of thing that’s going to keep my attention.

Threads of Fate is awful. SO my only options is to level another alt through old content I may have missed.

I regret purchasing this expac.

Threads is awful. I was having fun leveling a survival hunter and then I hit shadowlands content and picked threads out of curiosity and that just completely turned me off from playing that character ever again.

You outgrew a game. it happens.

Yes i saw the Vault and didnt do it and did not care. Its all in your mindset.

You don’t need to do all of that lmao. You only have to do that if you want more gear.

If it’s not worth it, you don’t need to do it. And like, all of that stuff is just playing the game.

I realized that, I also realized I don’t have to play this dated game at all. So I did just that. I’m done being lead on by carrot on the stick bs.

@Rownen

You already uninstalled so you’re well on your way to the break you need.

For future reference, the game will get to a point where things release slowly enough that you have plenty of time to “catch up”. I haven’t been a heavy participant in any of the last three xpacs and can assure you that there is a lot of time between phases or seasons to “catch up”.

Have some fun in CP2077 and when you get the urge to rogue some faces, you’ll be surprised at how you’re able to get up to par.

I mostly play WoW because I enjoy the way it does Healing. I don’t play much at all. I leave and come back. Mostly because WoW does healing in a way I enjoy and I get the urge to jump back in for the fun I have with it’s healing design.

I come back a bit weak, but gain the “strength” necessary with relative ease.

Don’t give a game the kind of power you have this time around. It’s not worth stressing over. I understand because I used to run a raiding guild in WotLK and I was super hardcore at the time. I’ve since relaxed in my perspective of the game.

You need time to forget about WoW until you get the urge to do what you liked. Just like I have with healing.

Enjoy your time off. Ambush will be here when you return.

That’s it I’m quitting WoW, again.

I said the same thing last week.

Incorrect :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

k.

Can I have your stuff?

Or people are enjoying themselves and don’t see their time spent as a waste? Why is this always a sticking point for people leaving? People can enjoy the game while you aren’t any longer.

Also, I’m confused about your gripe with the vault. How are you behind if you didn’t clear the raid or do the M+ or a bunch of rated PvP?

Man I’ll only enjoy it if Outlaw stops being dumpster tier in PvP. What’s the point if my favorite spec is about as competitive as tanks in Arenas and I tried leveling a survival hunter but fates was just a wall I refuse to climb.

Not just that, but he plays the most broken PvP class in the game and opts to play the one non-viable PvP spec it has.

OP’s a moron.

It’s not even if you want more gear. It’s if you want more options for the one piece of gear you get from the vault.

I’m a moron for having a preference for a certain playstyle? I’m sorry I’m not a brain-dead fotm chaser that remembers when Outlaw/Combat Rogue was able to go toe to toe with other melee classes and mained this spec for that reason. Its unfortunate though that they decided to turn Outlaw into a complete meme PVE spec this Xpac. At this point the only correct choice for me to enjoy this game is to level an alt but leveling an alt is completely punishing cause everyone already has their legendaries while I will be stuck with a tier-one lego among other things. If the game had an actual catch-up mechanic where I could grind to be on par with everyone else then that would be fine.
