Wow Responsibilites ruined the game

The only thing wow is ruining for me atm is my sleep, which, is all over the place, and i’m having to clean my chair every couple of days, it gets a little spicy after the long hours being planted in it.

Man I wish I had the power to do 40 hours of anything in a day. Life is way too short.

Yeah, if ever anything in a video game starts to feel like a chore, it’s time to step away for a while.

Ok… so this is about pvp, now we are getting somewhere.

So you are 550 conquest behind(I think that was the weekly cap)… so what?

I wake up a few days still thinking it is still 2009-2013 and then I wonder where the hell did time go.

Very good point. Neither this player or his guild has done anything. It’s makes no sense to even begin to compare to others in a sense that would begin to tell oneself they are behind.

They must be having some kind of anxiety attack today.

Breathe Rownen. You’ll live.

What are you even on about? I uninstalled wow yesterday to make room for more fun games like Cyberpunk 2077.
I just woke up today after having a dream about running mythics and I had an epiphany why WoW was making me feel horrible.

You have no idea how the game works. You aren’t behind anything, its just more options for different loot, you can only select one. If you are behind on loot just doing 1 Mythic+ as high as you can all thats needed.

The actual problem is OCD behavior, not the game.

I do however think the game fundamentally has no purpose as all this stress you are putting on yourself is 100% pointless. You can just not play and LFR the raid in a month or so, you realize that right? You see all the content. Difficulty levels going nowhere are just that, content going nowhere. Pointless. Games fundamentally pointless until they add content that NEEDS those ILVLs, and they dont have that, so its pointless. Just an ILVL grind for the sake of doing it.

OP is a pvper.

Imagine allowing a game to control your thoughts and emotions enough to even say you dream about it and it “made you feel horrible”.

Well I had a similiar realization years ago in League of Legends when I was struggling to hit Diamond before season end. Then I realized if I’m not having fun playing this GAME and it’s just causing me more stress then what’s the point?

The weeklies are not meant to be finished in a day.

That is why they are weekly quests.

sure you can finish them in a day if you want.

that just leaves more time to do something else.

I don’t think we have control of our subconscious bud lmao.

This is why it’s important to learn time management, research ahead of time and only do what is necessary to get the best performance / fun out of your gameplay. All MMO’s have grindy elements and how fun anything is – well is very subjective.

I can afford to spend the time right now to grind out rep, farm fish, WQ’s / Callings, MAW, Torghast, Raid and M+. Won’t last forever since work will ramp up after the new year. So what do I do when that time comes? I focus on the necessary elements to the type of gameplay that makes me happy: M+ and raid. If I have not yet crafted a Tier 4 leggo then also Torghast. Everything else is jelly.

Literally, and I mean LITERALLY nothing in this game is a “must do” or a “responsibility” because… it’s a game.

Needing time management in a game is what turns me off. I need time management for work and life not a damn game.

I hope this comment was written with the intent to help the original poster recognize unhealthy tendencies within this game. Best not to shame people for their issues, especially given how famous (infamous) this game is for video game addictions that manifest in exactly that way.

As for Rownen… you have to walk away, bud. If you are dreaming about this game and finding that you are having to treat it like a job, you turned a corner that is best avoided.

I would agree with you if we were in Legion or BfA. But we are not. Most of the daily chores are for cosmetics and what not. You never felt obligated to farm Vanilla reputations, did you? Stop complaining, this is the best xpac we have had in years.

You mean, You Don’t.
You’re not going to want to believe this… but I control my dreams. Many people do. You can read about it in many books. There are movies about it, which is where I learned of it.

Instead of just hovering, I now fly. (in dreams)

You already said a damn video game stresses you out. It’s obvious that your mind is what’s behind.

Everything in life requires time management, including hobbies.
