Wow Responsibilites ruined the game

I agree. The game is a chore and eats too much time (this is by design though). It’s hard to justify playing WoW anymore. I’m going to play over the holidays for a bit longer while my sub ticks away, but plan to unsub and uninstall in the new year.

Sounds like you’re taking it too seriously and need to quit.
Feeling behind is all on you. I don’t feel behind at all because I don’t care about what anyone else is doing to compare where I may be to where they are.

You literally do what you want at your own pace. There is nothing telling you that you must do anything at all. The importance you put on the game is 100% on you.

I didn’t even log on for a couple of weeks and guess what. I didn’t lose anything. Still the same characters with all the same things available to them. There were no items or quests that had expired for me to “miss out on”.

It’s the same game it was when I left it. I do a daily or a weekly or not.

“Comparison is the thief of joy.”

Learn that quote well.

Enjoy your time off.

I’m so glad I don’t feel the need to do everything every day, and don’t feel like I’m behind, cause ya know, it ain’t a race, I don’t have to keep up with people who have 16 hours a day to play.

The issue is that it uses mobile game tactics to get people addicted and coming back. It’s like a drug.
What’s the point anyway? New games are substantially better looking and more fun on dozens of fronts.

This was an issue for me at one time too. When I excepted the fact that I can’t keep up with real life and keep up with all the alts. I can some what keep up right now with one or two characters but having one of each class on both factions now requires more time than I am willing to give.
Being flexible and time management helps me keep up. These patches and seasons go a long time now. I am ok with not being world first now. Game seems to be more enjoyable now without the expectations of not being left behind.
Hopefully with enough feedback blizzard will improve the gear drop rate in dungeons. Seems a bit low in my opinion. This adds to my frustration with keeping up with alts. The alt thing would not be an issue if blizzard did a better job of balancing classes. When your not FOTM. Meta changes makes it more challenging to meet group requirements.

Can you please reply to what your complaint about the vault is?

You don’t have to clear every tasks. All it does is give you more loot options to choose from. It doesn’t increase the amount of loot you get in the slightest.

What do you want to show for your current grind? We’re on week two of the actual season/tier there wasn’t much to even grind out prior…

you mean like how most of the world quests are for pretty trivial things too? maybe a bit of extra anima, rep, or slightly better than normal dungeon loot? I work 40-50 hours a week man and I have 8k anima stored with nothing to spend it on so I don’t know what you’re worried about falling behind in?

There’s plenty of criticisms to be had with Shadowlands but yours (the way you’re explaining it anyway) is not one of them. Your just burnt out, which the proper response to that is unsubbing for a while I hope you enjoy yourself in other games but what do you want Blizzard to do with your criticisms?

This is just US

You already are behind everyone.

Or did you mean pvp?

You are behind there aswell.

Who exactly are you even trying to compete with to be behind?

But you hurt progress by not unlocking a bit of the categories.

Actually even torghast becomes semi optional , many ranks for a reason , and the lowest layers gives the most anima weekly for that same reason !

Id say Shadowlands has the less required things to do while having tons to do if you want to.

for actual progression the two things you need to work on are Torg and your cov renown (for better wq rewards and mat farming if you have proffs).

Edit: also torg is a weekly reward capped at how ever high a lvl you run it, i mean come on, its really not that much of a grind.

Oof… Well I guess I do have time for my alt

Obviously, I literally just said I barely played last week and it feels like I’m 10000 miles behind everyone after playing almost nonstop for the first three weeks or so.

Ok. and why does it matter if you’re behind? It’s a 2 year expansion.

You still didn’t say who you are competing with by the way.

Finishing with things now so there is no question about having to catchup near the end of the expansion. So that you avoid the usual hammed response of “well you X amount of months, you should have had it by now”.

Ok , then let me reassure you a little , go check my armory , that way you can compare to see how far behind you are from another rogue who ran 20keys +5/6/7 and 2 8s .

You arent 10000miles behind , maybe 1 miles behind at most so cheer up!

Welcome to how the business side/ Marketing side has control in the development process. It gives you a false impression that you must grind each week in order to stay top-tier and with everyone else.

Because gear is everything in this game in PvP. Without gear you might as well be fighting with a wet noodle. Doesn’t help outlaw rogue is dumpster tier in PvP already.

I don’t think blizzard is the one propagating that behavior, it is coming from the players that can play 40 hours a day flaunting their progression.

First, I’m sorry the game is feeling like a chore to you. That does suck.

Who do you feel like you’re behind? Yes, there is lots to do and much to accomplish, but ultimately it’s not a race. When it comes down to it - what are your expectations and do they match with the game in your life? If your IRL no longer allows you to be AotC, then maybe adjusting your in-game goals will help? But if an adjustment will ruin the game for you, all I can suggest is to find a better suiting game like LoL.
