Choice 1 - PVP gear disparity is fine the way it is, just “get gud” and grind rating
Choice 2 - Game would be more enjoyable/accessible with a lower pvp gear disparty, maybe 10 ilvls max from combatant/elite
What is the ongoing consensus?
I want 1 honor set, 1 conquest set, no rating required. this is coming from someone who has full elite gear. also 7 upgrades is insane way to much honor required
I believe it’s pretty universally agreed upon that everyone doesn’t like rating gated gear, excluding a few people here or there.
I just want to log on and enjoy PVP. I don’t want to be silently annoyed when I want to do some random BGs for fun and my team has a 200k HP disadvantage (or advantage), etc.

poll functionality was removed from the wow forums, i stole my wrath mop and wod keys and i got my slands 100% subsidized id take a dump on HQs front door if i lived closer

I’m of board with everyone has same same stats while in pvp mode. The only way you are able to say you are even the tiniest bit better is to have the same available to u as your opponent does. If you want better gear then your opponent , it’s because you want to cheat and pretend that you are good. Backgammon , chess , checkers connect 4 lol literally every game both players start each match with the same stuff. There is a reason. Why would you play chess if one player has to start with only 3 pawns and nothing else and the other starts with 10 queens. it’s pointless why play.
cause people need a reason to justify a reason to keep subbing - to chase that ilvl, that’s literally it
Having it rating gated gives lower players something to look forward to and an achievement to hit which can be fun.
Makes no difference to me or anyone who can hit 2.1. If you can’t then gears not going to change that anyway.
I greatly would prefer removing gear disparity in the arena. Also the rating gating felt good when you upgraded, but it also made that mountain feel huge when I wanted to gear an alt
If they fix the gear gap then I won’t have any excuses for my losses.
Or scale all ilvl in instanced PVP.

This is the key if you can’t hit 2.1 your not going to even with I level scaling.
With the seasons going on infinitely and grinding up to 2400 in full 233 gear on my alt rogue I def can say 2100 is just the first stepping stone in learning pvp.

This is where I think the suggestion of scaling ilvl to a high amount would best suite this ask. Please see my suggestion.
TLDR scale gear ilvl to the highest possible in instanced pvp, rated and non rated.
Acquire honor and conquest gear as usual and upgrade while you’re pvping at equal ilvl with eveyrone else.
