Also WoW players: “Why does this game never get any new players and where’s all the tanks at?”
Can we chill with the VTK spam? Getting tired of constantly declining VTKs, in Timewalking of all places, because people can’t be bothered to wait an extra 5 seconds for someone to read their map.
Let people learn how to play the game instead of driving them away. TW isn’t a sweatlord mode and is supposed to be chill.
You’re just politely removing a toxic element while informing everyone you are a noob tank.
… okay, okay, it was wrong… but sometimes, the healthiest thing is to cloak yourself in the negativity that gets thrown your way and wear it like it’s going out of style.
Pretty sure as per nobody marking targets, especially skull targets, and not knowing the gy locations in Mists, and the multitude of other clues, this game is mostly new players at this point. The idioms, terminology, etiquette etc have all devolved into looking like the game is majority new player visitors that peace out shortly thereafter.
lmao…these jokers literally argue that theyre ALLOWED to kick for any reason …then come in and troll these threads when someone gets kicked for ‘any’ reason…ie no reason at all lmao
I’ll give evil here credit…hes at least an honest abusive vote kicker…unlike these others who say its ok, then deny it happens lmao
My observation is that these threads are a response to the recent changes giving pretty much anyone who leaves queued content, either through a vote kick or on their own terms, a 30 minute debuff.
Yeah, we know kicks happen, and most people understand why the system is implemented the way it is.
But I think these threads are either a) fake or b) made by people who think they are infallible and everyone else is the problem.
I’ve learned 2 tank specs from scratch this expansion, having never really played tank at any point in my life.
No matter how slow I was or whether I wiped us by messing up a mechanic, I’ve never been kicked.
Compare that to DPS, where I consistently perform well and do mechanics - a single screwup is a guaranteed kick.
Hell, I’ve been kicked from a raid for dying to bad when it was a priest that pulled me into it in the first place.
awww…did someone lose a debate and still stewin bout it?
actually that makes a lot of sense.
We know kicking a tank could be the death of the run…we’ve waited nearly half hour before finally calling it quits over waiting for a tank.
DPS will be an insta-pop the second you boot…totally expendable if they arent behaving.
I think threads like this are a bit exaggerated, just like the “WoW is so toxic!” threads.
I am only one person, but I do a lot of LFG, timewalking, and other types of queued group content. I very rarely come across behavior like this. I will not deny its existence, but it feels like people here really enjoy hyperboles for the sake of getting likes and agreement. Whenever toxic behavior happens in LFG, almost every time they will be the ones to be kicked because players don’t take kindly to it.
I tank a lot of dungeons. I get kicked like once every few years.
My conclusion is that tanks shouldn’t tank instances they don’t know. There’s follower dungeons now for recent expansions. Watch a video, run the follower dungeon.
Old dungeons are more of an issue, including classic dungeons of which there are a whole lot of them, some of them not making any sense as far as maps go (Dire maul, anybody?). However, if the tank asks if someone else can lead they way, you can always get someone to oblige.
This doesn’t sound like something a streamer would care about, since streamers don’t really do queued content.
Perhaps these threads are a sign that Blizzard has decided there is a problem, is going to “fix” it in the near future, and wants to prep the playerbase to accept that this is a big issue that needs to be “fixed”.
