It seems like a great way to manipulate people into watching all of the streams for the entire season.
But with how Blizzard is treating this from their news article… RWF is just “finish the raid first.”
Just have to think of it as singular raids. Like we did in BC, prior to actual “seasons.”

All they’re saying is “Here’s the RWF for this raid.” Which is all I’m commenting on, to explain to someone why it’s just this raid.

Thanks, Blizzard developers. In yet another attempt to cater to your RWF nonsense, you broke everyone’s button bar addons without warning, on the same day most of the rest of us non-RWF folks actually raid.

They are a troll just ignore them. Very strange aggressive behavior and they will follow you around too after ignoring them to see if they can get you to respond.
Blizzard trying over and over to make a competitive e-sport out of PvE is getting tiresome.
No one cares. No one is interested. The vast majority of this game is totally detached from the race.
Rather than throw money at this they could hire another artist or coder.

I would much rather see an announcement like “We’re cancelling the race to world first, the MDI and the AWC – and will no longer be letting those communities affect game design or balance.”

this race is not great so far. . . hope the next weeks raid takes two more resets . . . these top guilds are running mythic splits for the next four days and will be geared to the teeth. The entertainment value is next to nil right now with top guilds making this look like a heroic raid.
It not very entertaining when they burn through sponsor money to pay randos gold for splits to overgear themselves. It becomes less about talent and more about how big their wallets are.
Also having a coder buddies off to the side running numbers in a third party app to circumvent addon restrictions should be against ToS.

All of these concerns would be valid if Blizzard ran the RWF. However, they don’t – these guilds have always put it together themselves so they can run it however they want within the confines of the game itself.
Blizzard just feeds off the hype or whatever is built up around it. They’ll never take this expenditure on themselves.
Devs approved all their addons beforehand, apparently.
Why do mythic raid balancing fixes for RWF that impact 0.001% of the player base get a higher priority than recraft issues and delve loot bugs that impact almost everyone?
These big bugs don’t even get blue posts.
