WoW Made Easy has become what it hates - Toxic

Was he part of the run? If not, then yes, you will get kicked out, because they are strict about their rules. That’s not toxic. That’s strict. They don’t take anyone’s bs and they are not fooling around. Read and follow the rules.

And the rules do state that you must be part of the run to be in that chat.

Bingo.

That’s quite sus.

Wow, this isn’t my experience at all with the WME server. I have encountered nothing but great groups doing lower key M+. Sorry you had this experience. I will say as someone who pugs exclusively, I am grateful for finding WME. Nice people unite!

I will definitely check out the other discord communities listed above as well. I think it is a game changer for pugging.

I guess I have to provide screen shots, a video and my first born to get you to believe that. So… what did I get banned for? I just asked a question in the mentor channel about what rule he broke. Doesn’t matter anymore. WME is toxic. You can’t change my mind now.

You do realize that WME does not give any reason for banning nor do you know that it has happened until the discord server is not on your list. They give no means to communicate with mods. No emails. No website contact info… Nothing. That’s why people go to reddit. You don’t want to believe me? Go in there and start asking questions. See how quickly you get banned.

Well yeah, that’s what I meant. Why would they obfuscate their decision to ban by banning again? A honest ban is an honest defense to ban. That erodes trust and reputation.

Drama Made Easy? :performing_arts:

I beg to differ. WME has proven to me that they have extremely strict and poor moderation/administration on their servers. I have the gall to admit I’ve been banned from their Discord servers…

… for posting in a wrong channel requesting a healer. It’s pathetic.

Once I found out they charge users to join their guild and select channel, that is an all new extreme of lame. I pay for a sub already. I don’t need an exclusive club within an exclusive club. That makes absolutely no sense.

That’s already been explained to you.

Your friend was banned for not following the rules.

You were banned because you didn’t follow protocol on how to talk to them.

Is it overly strict? Probably. But people do need to learn to follow directions.

It’s always been toxic. Any group that needs passwords and overlords over stuff = bad.

Oh wow, so it’s not just helping noobs out of the kindness of their heart.

It’s a paid carry, basically.

That’s kinda awful to hear, lol.

Hell, I’ll do what WME does, for free ahaha. I just want to help folks out.

Some users reported to me that when WME set up a paywall for their “services”, following up a refusal, they get banned.

But that was all word-from-mouth. All I know is, I’m happy to steer clear from whatever those people are.

No, the only reason the guild membership is a perk of Patreon is because there’s a limit on how many guild members there are. And the channel was just normal advice on how to play and guides.

No one has to be part of the guild to do anything in WME.

Wait. Are you saying my consequences had actions??

As someone who has been involved with running gaming communities for 20+ years, doing this is absolutely something that can get you banned. It’s even against the rules on these very forums.
Don’t try to hide behind the “I’m just asking questions!” excuse. You knew exactly what you were doing, you did it on purpose to start drama, then you continued the drama by posting publicly here (also likely a violation of the rules of this forum, btw, and absolutely off-topic as what a private Discord server does has nothing to do with the game of World of Warcraft).

I cannot count how many times I’ve seen someone violate the rules, get banned, and then their “friend” joins and starts trying to rules lawyer and stir up more drama, also gets banned, then goes to Reddit or forums or another Discord to continue the drama.

I have no stake in this. I never even knew this Discord existed, I wasn’t there, I don’t know anyone on there, but I am tired of people breaking the rules of a community then acting shocked when they are removed from said community.
They might be a toxic community, or they might be some of the most wholesome players the game has. But your post isn’t going to convince me of anything.

If this is what you claim and yet have no relation to WME, it’s looking awfully, AWFULLY weird.

And not in a good way.

WME gets recommended all the time as an alternative to pugging, but how different is it really from pugging? It’s still 4 randoms getting together to do content. I tried getting into it but it felt no easier or more beneficial than joining a pug in game, plus the annoying hurdle of typing a password.

And it’s also against the rule in the WME Discord. You’re not supposed to air grievances and ask those types of questions in the Mentor channel. That’s not what it’s there for. They specifically have a ticket system for this stuff.

No, it really isn’t. It’s logical advice and factual for most communities and places to have rules on how to air grievances.

There are all different types of groups, where you can sign up for learning groups, completion groups, etc. and people have to stick to that, per their rules.

It’s there to make it easier to find different types of groups and levels, without the toxicity. If toxicity occurs, those people are kicked out and banned permanently from WME.

I see. I wasn’t aware of this part. I can definitely see the benefit to this one.

The content I only engaged in was the keys that needed healers, pinging the healer role. After that I’d join, finish the run, and the group disbands leaving me wondering what the point of that even was.

I guess some people really value the extra security in knowing toxicity will be reprimanded in some way. It wasn’t for me but I’m glad it exists for those who need it.

Have you even and ever been acquainted with WME?

IIRC, you don’t do Mythics. Unless I’m missing something.
