You actually can take a picture of any insurance card and say its from medicaid and amazon will give you a discount since there is no way to tell if an insurance is from medicaid or not. It works been getting discounted amazon prime for like 3 years. The only thing they check for is if you uploaded a picture of an insurance card they do not contact the government to check or anything

Pretty sure this is fraud. And you aren’t sticking it to the “greedy corporations.” That cost gets transferred to the customers that aren’t deceiving the company.

I think it’s hilarious that these are the items they choose after pushing the FOMO thing before removing them from the store a while back and people paid real money for each of them, glad I didn’t I’ll get them for free now, but it’s still hilarious they would do this to people who paid money.

I’m actually shocked that you don’t see the problem here. You’re completely fine with stealing and pretending to be on a government assistance program? You do realize the government is the one who is paying the other share of the amount you’re not paying? That is the whole point of the assistance programs. Tax payers pay for these kinds of things, if you pay tax you’re paying it anyway you just don’t realize it.

No the government is not paying for people’s amazon subs. If they were they would be an actual check from a 3rd party verification company.

The government makes a deal with companies that offer discounts for use of their assistance programs. If you want to shove it in Jeffs face, just don’t pay for Prime. You literally just admitted to fraud.

Apologies. I was afew years off. It went onto the shop July 17, 2013. It was removed January 19, 2019. So 6 1/2 years.

Maybe your mistaking this for a program such as lifeline which pays for peoples cell phones and internet which the government does pay for however to get that you need to send them your tax returns, a years worth of pay stubs to a 3rd party verification company before they give it to you.

Amazon had just decided to give people a discount because they want more business/money. You do know that if you have an email that ends in .edu they will give you the discount too right. Many people have access to their school emails still despite not going to that school and get this discount like forever.

Dude the fact that you’re trying to JUSTIFY your reason for stealing and abusing government assistance benefits is disgusting.
