Yeah that didn’t work. I still can’t see my accounts on the bnet program.
Same issue here
Those workaround steps aren’t to get your individual licences showing on the Battlenet App, that’s so you can login to WoW without needing to use the Battlenet App. It’s a few extra steps, but it does work that way to get logged in.
They got me good. Blizzard pranking me hard with my entire account getting sparta kicked into oblivion as soon as my vacation starts. Lol.
No luck. Only shows WoW1. No other options. WoW1 is my starter EU account. Main NA account isn’t showing up
Looks like I’m having the same issue. Disappointing since I just resubbed 2 days ago. Worked fine yesterday, so they must have broken something today. Just canceled my sub again, going to find something less frustrating to do.
I was able to get into wow by skipping the launcher. Don’t open the WoW Launcher.exe. go into the retail (or classic) folder and open the wow.exe. I was able to log in, able to input the authenticator code and able to get on my main.
when they work, they didn’t for me, as soon as I hit log in, I get the “disconnected” pop up.
You could have just launched it, canceled the auto-login to the starter account, entered credentials manually, and played… It works. I just did it myself.
Check your password here on the forums, or another Blizzard website. That disconnect error is actually indicative of an incorrect password. I got the same thing until I tested and found out my error was on me: Wrong password.
was having a sound issue rebooted, now both my active accounts are missing, ONLY my inactive account is showing up
Did you change the account? there is a little dropdown menu between “Email” and “Password” fields.
You also need to check what reguion you join. If you play EU, make EU starter account and also use that EU Starter account in battle.net to start the game.
my 2 active accounts don’t even showup, nor does any war within game
This was not initially working for me. I was showing only my EU account.
I went to the battlenet launcher and selected a US starter addition.
Logged in.
Logged out.
Followed the above instructions and it worked.
Seems like if you have EU / US / Other, you need to log into the server on a starter with the desired game EU/US/Other, to be able to follow the above directions.
Otherwise the US were not available in the drop down.
I mean I think it’s fair for people to not be happy that they have to do an obscure work around because somehow releasing an alpha for next expansion is capable of causing the bnet launcher to not recognize their licenses?
Wonder what dev got fired to cause this sht show.
Go to battle.net website, go to games & subscriptions. there scroll down to create starter account.
Same Problem here !
I have done this and even my manually entered authenticator code just disconnects me.
its extremely annoying
Hopefully this can help some people with the error get back into game:
1: Either launch the game on one of the starter accounts, or go directly to the Wow.exe file in your install directory, in the Retail folder.
2: If you launched on the starter account, hit cancel when the login is showing “Connecting…”, to go back to the Email and Password screen.
3: Enter your email and password. After this, your Authenticator code.
4: If you get an immediate “Disconnected from Server” error, check your password on the forums or other Blizzard site, to make sure you have the right one. The error will not tell you anything specific in the game login. One of the websites WILL. I had this exact issue myself, so I know it is potentially the case.
And as others have mentioned, ensure you launch the client into the right region as well. So if you play multiple regions, you’ll need to launch the starter from the region your main account is in, in Battle.net (I cannot test this, never played outside of NA).
Last word I had is that they have a fix that is currently being tested. I don’t know how quickly they will be able to have that deploy out if all the boxes get checked, but wanted to give everyone an update.
