Wow is the only good mmo

True. I just don’t see how having every class on one character is necessarily better. That’s just not how MMOs traditional ly work. So you could say wow is more old school that way… It’s more a preference for someone but people use that to complain as if it’s a problem with the game.

It’s certainly a huge QOL feature.
If I decide I want to play another class I just need to change my equipped weapon, and not start the whole game over. A lot of our complaints about things like doing the maw intro quest or farming out reputations multiple times just don’t happen in FF.

If I win a greed roll for a cloth robe in a dungeon on my warrior, I can still use it when I change to Black mage so all gear is always useful for every player. One of the reason’s I don’t really play alts anymore in WoW is because there’s so much MORE to do before their done… When I played Hardcore it was WOTLK and you just had to get your guy to max level and throw some decent gear on them… In modern WoW that just isn’t the case between all the borrowed power, mandatory torghast runs, and farming out soulbinds, legendary memories, etc etc.

Going to FF from modern wow it’s just a huge difference. You still have to level an alternate class, but they get significant bonus XP if their below your main class’s level and in many cases can use your old gear too where as in WoW I certainly can’t reuse soulbound gear on any of my alts.

You get a massive armory bonus for every job below max level. Combine that with how much exp they toss at you with challenge logs and palace of the dead leveling new classes is not much of a grind in fact you can get massive exp just by doing the dailies quests or daily roulettes. To get every combat class to max level is not that much of a grind in all honesty. Crafting you have a ton of ways to power level them as well with dailies.

Bribing police is WAY cheaper than maintaining employees with benefits.

Not in the USA. Happened here guess what they got caught and went to prison lol

The least important part of this game is dungeons and raiding. At least it’s supposed to be. So when everyone is funneled into this content as the main content it’s just bad MMO design. Dungeons and Raids should make up about 5% of the content.

I would blame Esports as part of the downfall in this game. They changed too much because they only felt MDI or Arena is important and they are literally the least important parts of this game.

PS- Imagine calling this game good. Solitaire is literally a better game then this. That is why most people left and didn’t come back.

Bit of an exaggeration. Dungeons and raids have always played a pivotal role in keeping players invested in an MMO.

That said, I do agree with your sentiment that there is too large of a focus. Dungeons and raids should complement the world rather than be the driving force behind everything you do in the game. Classic is exemplary of this design philosophy.

I’m in the USA, and no it happens every day lol. They’re just not as dumb about it. Cop driving a Lexus? Somethings wrong.

Lexus lol yes it happens in the US but it isn’t as prevalent as other countries where gangs control the cops via money from illegal sales.

Onto of that I HIGHLY doubt blizzard is that risky. They don’t even take risks on their storyline yet alone content they put out.

/facepalm I think you missed the joke about four blocks back.

I feel that the intro requirements in FF14 are a work of genius.

You basically can’t get past them without having a certain level of patience, so it weeds out a TON of people that have none (which I believe creates a much more hospitable atmosphere for the players that manage to around).

The fact that people are willing to leave a game they’ve invested like 10+ years of their lives into right after a new content patch came out, to start over new in other MMOs, should really tell you something about the current state of WoW and what a trashfire it is.

But nah, totally it’s the only good MMO.

I am aware of all this, I play the game. But that doesn’t change the fact that it is still a grind. Especially if you want multiple jobs on one character. It’s not that bad if say, you only want to have one tank, dps and healing job, basically turning yourself into a hybrid character, but if you’re the type of player who wants ALL the jobs, or even most of the jobs, that’s going to be a grind.

And that’s not even taking into consideration the crafting and gathering professions, because if you don’t want to burn through your gil and be self-sufficient, you’re going to need to level ALL of them, and that can easily take weeks, if not months, just to get through ARR crafting/gathering.

I think WoW is the best mmo. But these last 2 expansions have had so many useless systems added just to extend my timed played it does not feel like the mmo I love. Been having more fun with another game that has a lot less systems to grind/learn. So I don’t think WoW is holding that title as best mmo for me at the moment. I’m starting to like other games better.

FFXIV > WoW

Suck it fanboy.

Probably. Am at work that’s why on here to kill time

I agree, wow is good and its the best on the market, but not SL

Sure at one point of Time WoW was the best imo it was only the best during actual talent points vs the garbage we have now.

WOW is a SOLG (solo online game). I only encounter 1 or 2 people in the Zone I’m working on. ‘massively multiplayer’ in no way matches what I experience. Also, the way I play, I don’t want to encounter more people (especially you - you know who you are) - people are jerks. The selling point and slogan of WOW should be ‘Leave your world and jerks behind’.

I’ve always disliked this ideology.
