WoW is still the best MMO

i had previous experience of mmos before i started wow last january 2017

TERA: due to 1 spec per class, i played 3 toons simultaneously up to max lvl (65), and i was altoholic before, what makes it overwhelming is because of repetitive gameplay and bland dungeons, also p2w and buy more enchantments, and it’s pretty random if you’re successful or failed to upg. what a waste of cash when i bought more enchantments there.

Wildstar: sluggish levelling, annoying announcer, sparse population is reason why i turned it off more quickly. being reliant on gear addon to change equipment (ap and sp are ws equivalent of dps/heals).

i admit that WoW is better than other mmos i played, despite their criticism and being rng. it’s because it has 3 spec (4 for druid, 2 for dh) per class which saves time levelling my toon. i’m more focused on my main compared to my alts.

Yeah it is but that isn’t saying much

Maybe. I wonder though if a new player played WOW, GW2, and FFXIV, 1-30 whether they would be convinced WOW was best. I only mention this because I’m not sure if wait til you are max level for the real experience cuts it.

I’ve played ESO and while it was fun to level to the cap, the honeymoon phase is all it had going for it.

These are similar to my feelings too. Although I still like FFXIV, WoW just offers more bang for my buck over FFXIV for me.

Judging modern ESO to launch ESO is the same as comparing MoP WoW to BFA WoW, you realize. Different era, different game. The difference is ESO has gotten better and WoW hasn’t. To say the honeymoon phase is all it had going for it is wholly inaccurate and is something only a WoW sycophant would say.

Better than bad doesn’t equal good…

ESO and FFXIV are both miles ahead of WoW. WoW is a korean kids game, zero depth, zero class diversity, zero character builds, zero anything apart from rng loot system. Both ESO and FF has massive amounts of character development and diversity, you know stuff where you actually think about your build.

I’d have to agree. I agree w/ another poster that it’s popular to hate on wow and blizzard atm, though a lot of that is on Blizz ("you have cell phones don’t you…) that diablo announcement was a fiasco. While I’d like to see a reverse to ability pruning (it definitely detracts from game play relying on max five buttons) and for the luv of the gods, get rid of dispel cd’s in pve I really don’t have any HUGE grips.

I think people are entitled to have their gripes (we all do) but imo, titanforging, the azerite system (while lackluster), personal loot, and lfr just aren’t game breakers for me. They don’t bother me that much.

The majority of fun comes from playing w/ friends and progressing through raid content.

I think what bothers me most about the current climate is that anyone who doesn’t call for fire and brimstone on wow and blizzard gets flamed. Which is stupid. I’m sorry you’re not enjoying the game, but I am. Find your happiness, no one is stopping you. If you enjoy another game, you should play that other game (and I promise there is no derision in that statement).

Anyways, tl;dr- I’m still finding the game enjoyable. People should do what makes them happy, and not attack others for doing something don’t agree with (in terms of game choice).

Cheers.

Please show me how you “build” your Dragoon differently from other Dragoons in FFXIV. No, really. I’ll wait.

(They don’t even have talents, for ball’s sake, and with a recent patch you can equip every old role skill unlike before where you at least had to read a guide real quick on the best 5 to take for your job. It’s the definition of cookie-cutter. WoW isn’t hitting any home runs for build diversity but to say XIV is better honestly makes me wonder if you’ve ever even played the game.)
