I can’t believe they’re rewarding dying now

Right before the last boss on nightfall sanctum tier 11 just a few minutes ago. I soothe the pack on the platform up the double stairs, flare the circles between me and the stairs leading to boss, mind control and pull the pack on the right so I can go around.

Not even done with that pack, I am standing in the middle of the stairs leading to the boss…

Brann starts attacking the soothed mobs all the way across the room, pulls them (empowered pack I was just going to skip), kills me because I’m bad…then leaves the party.

I’m like “This is why nobody loves Dwarves.”

Multiplayer games are not good for people who make mistakes, period. MASSIVELY multiplayer games are no exception to that. If the attitude of random people bother you, consider playing in ways where you do not engage in matchmaking and instead engage with people who you know and interact with regularly (or just play by yourself, seems weird to pick an mmo to play solo in tho)

The number one thing if you want less stress in group content. Random groups probably not your best bet. Guilds. That can be work in itself finding a guild you like as I think a lot are utter crap even as social groups go. But find a guild interact participate- you can’t just blame the guild for not giving you a shot if you don’t try to make , for lack of wording “friends”. If you never participate I wouldn’t blame the officers over looking you should they want to form a raid team or whatever.

It’s one of several reasons why FFXIV has dethroned WoW years ago.

I’d prefer people who make mistakes to not play this game.

One thing I really appreciate about WoW is the community… it’s like a social experiment. We all bully and be toxic towards new players who choose not to read guides or learn mechanics who waste peoples time. This is why WoW is the longest lasting and best MMORPG.

You seem like the type of person who is very kickable when you start a post like this.
I will not be reading further.

pretty much the solution to most problems in this game.

and if you absolutely HAVE to pug, do it in easy content and ignore the chat completely.

Grandma, it’s not our lawn, put the broom away and leave them be.

Another way to look at this.

In the 20 years this game has existed, there is probably over a million people that have made mistakes that got them kicked from group.

I’m curious as to the actual number but it has to be over a million in 20 years.

So pick yourself up, dust yourself off and go try again.
It’s really not a big deal.

You made a mistake and so did they, by kicking you. It happens.
Now go have fun.

i dont want this to sound mean, if you pug, i need you to know everything or you’re wasting mine and others time and its kinda selfish from you, learn stuff with friends or guildies, pug when you got your act together, we cant talk on disc so i cant even call out stuff that’s incoming to help you, you need to know

Will add something to your rly 1sided list:
People who pug:

  • don t want to be in a guild (has nothing to do with bad behaviour)
  • likes to pug to meet new people
  • can be friendly too

I would say this speaks more to the aging/age 30+ majority playerbase than anything else

When most of the playerbase has been playing since the og days of 2004-2006, and the younger players/fresh blood are NOT really replacing said older players you’ll get a natural tilt towards players who expect that you have also been playing for a long time - and therefore you’re expected to not make “noob” mistakes anymore (…because presumably you’ve already been playing a long time/should know better by now)

and yet we HAVE to play with them…even if theyre bigots and racists…because if WE bail WE get punished.

the system is broken and NEEDS to be fixed.

lmao…I love the Zandalari who rags and mocks you when you die…cant remember where thats at lol
