Wow is dropping

I don’t understand what your point is. I did the reputations when they were relevant and when BFA came out with more time-gated garbage I decided that was enough.

I’m using reputations as an example of the most egregious use of time-gating not as the focus of my own vendetta.

Only difference between then and now is how long it took to get something done. Quality of life features. Taking longer to get to a zone doesn’t = fun.

That doesn’t make WoW any better though.

tell me some games to be honest am so bored that am lvling alts already have about 9 120 lvling more since nothing to do aside from grinding mythic+ which i just do 1 a week for weekly

ESO, FFXIV, Re2 Remake, Dark Souls 3, The Witcher, New witcher Thronebreaker, Soul Calibur 6, Go outside :grinning:

I find time to play WoW, FF14, and my new games. Just time management.

Final Fantasy makes collaborations with other games and add very good addictive content (well, in fact almost all are from the same company), recently they will add content related to Nier: Automata.

My question is, why did Blizzard never do anything similar in the wow? I mean, add a season of Diablo, where, I do not know, a battle between heaven and hell opened a portal to a new world where Diablo tries to gather evil forces (like the Legion) to start his era of terror in Azeroth while Tyrael try to gather the best heroes of azeroth to stop him, and that the end is a Tyrael taking Diablo to his world.
I never saw blizzard want something similar in their game, maybe they consider it vulgar? I do not know, I just know that in other games it’s working (like Monster Hunter: World)

It isn’t special. It doesn’t have to be just 1 boss, it could be 2 raids with 5 bosses each or 3 raids (one with 6, one with 2 and one with 10). The difference is the “feel” of a different raid. Cata and MoP both have multiple first tier raids.

With the logic of instead of 9 bosses have 3 raids (7/1/1) you might as well condense the dungeons instead of 10 have 5 and double the bosses. They have that many dungeons so there is variety.

It would be better from my perspective but that is just my opinion and how I like the game to feel.

The only thing more boring than a Warfront, is an Island Expedition. 2 of the main “features” of Beta for Azerite. The other big expansion features were Allied Races, Still waiting…

In all honesty… If you’re really going to go down the health route… A citation is actually needed. A better statement would’ve been that having a variety of hobbies as well as RL social interaction, and regular exercise is healthy. But I highly doubt rotating between WoW, CS:GO, and Zelda is somehow “healthier” than simply playing WoW.

Imo, that’s just conjecture.

i agree

people not understanding you can do all the WQ / dailys / pvp and even run a raid or mythic or 2 within a matter of hours … unlike OG wow / tbc / wotlk / skipping cata lol / even mop it took longer

ill take quality of content that takes longer over many things that could get done within hours … thats why im not surprised why they havent moved the reset day up to a Thrus. it seems you would have tons more playing on the weekend with more things possibly to do but nah… you can get it all done that day of the reset with nothing to do come sat. / sun.

You are clearly in the minority.

Eventually, the majority will stop paying and you will continue to get shop mounts and play a collections game.

Have fun for 15 dollars a month.

Ooooo, I too haz opinions!!

—Raiding is stupid and boring. Only LFR is bearable.
—Most WoW players never did like raiding and have zero aspiration to raid.
—Most group content in WoW is ruined by insecure males who think they have leadership skills but wouldn’t actually know a social skill if it ganked them and stood over their corpse emoting.
—LFR saved both Cata and MoP, keeping casual players subbed through ridiculous content droughts.
—Post-MoP disrespect for LFR and neglect of other non-raid and non-mythic end content is one of the main reasons people leave the game so quickly now.
—There are no bigger drama queens in the game than progression raiders. Omg…the idea that all players don’t like what they like in WoW is just so upsetting! Lol.

This is the shallowest and most time gated expansion I have played in more than 13 years of WoW.

Not saying there weren’t some cool things like the zone art and music and some of the quests and voice acting, but overal, a watered down faction war story where no one really even knows what we’re fighting over (but we’re REALLY passionate about fighting whatever that reason actually is, more so than saving our dying planet) and a whole lot of filler. More or less useless crafting system, new emphasis on “make your own fun” PVP design instead of serious investment in story depth, allied races as a form of content, still no flying…

Yeah. The things I like I really like but sadly it just isn’t enough to hold my interest. Sort of like a theme park where when your ride reaches the end of the track you’re just done, and there’s not really a lot of attention to detail that lets you wander off that track to do other things like explore sub faction plots and possible alternate character development paths.

Rep grinds pretty much exist to just passively suck your time with not really much substance or meaning or opportunity for role play or unique content exploration. Everything just feels… Thin.

Once you’ve hit 120 and spend a couple weeks getting decent gear there’s really not much to do other than join a raiding guild or mythic guild which these days is pretty much reduced to LFR or elitist ilevel obsessing, or roll alts.

I will probably come back if I feel inspired to roll an alt. But there’s a lot of competition out there ATM as others have said. Right now modding Skyrim SE has taken most of my interest/time.

sounds like you don’t want to do anything and you haven’t even tried

I do remember the days when you could log on and grind as much Rep as you wanted… I also remember Players complaining daily about being “feeling forced” to grind Rep just to “keep up”.
Which is why we can no longer grind as much as we want.

Woah! I’ve never heard of these games!!

Who would’ve thought?.

Wow is dead and replaced now by these games and I’ve been playing a dead game with hundreds of other people this whole time :sob:
