Dibs on building the Thunderdome.
I dunno Marvel 3 came out 10+ years ago and itâs still going strong.
Instead of thinking âwow is doomedâ,
Letâs think âthe standard for mmos is going up!â
But your cookies will live on. You have a good legacy good Sir.
Some of those âmodern mmosâ are pay to win. Iâm not worried about them.
30years huh lol
The only wow-killer is wow itself.
As long as I get the muscle car.
WoW will carry on. It just wonât be leading the direction of the market like it used to, which is probably a good thing.
Every game since WoWâs massive rise to success back in 2008 has either tried to be the ânext WoWâ or has lost steam early on because it wasnât. But WoWâs no longer the game everyone wants, so itâs falling in line with rising titles that seem to understand their players better.
Itâs no longer THE polished game, itâs no longer the game pulling people away from TTRPGs, itâs just the decades-old rock star riding on the nostalgia of an earlier generation of gamers.
30 years sound like enough time to add ducks in game for sure.
/quack
Most of the ones Iâve seen/read about seem very shallow, tend to be PvP focused which I have zero interest in, and/or have no story to speak of which is a deal breaker for me.
Thereâs been a lot of hype at launch and then things die down either due to too many bugs or not enough to do - see New World, for example. Lost Ark has been popular in Asia for years and may do well over here, but so far whatâs come out seems to be more niche than universally appealing.
Interest in WoW may be waning but itâs not because of any of these new games are spectacular but because of bad game design for far too long.
Electricity is scheduled stop working in about 25 years when the big solar flare hits. People will probably still play WoW.
wait is this a â_____ is the next wow killerâ post where ______ is literally everything?
nice

Same here.
Bruh 30 years. Wow hasnât even been around that long.
Waiting patiently for Pokemon MMO.
