WoW is a literal waste of time

that’s absolutely correct because this is designed to sustain business. besides, I haven’t played WoW since Hogwarts Legacy came out lol

All forms of entertainment are wastes of time.

PL never had “bad luck protection.”

Also, since even with PL the total amount of drops were static, a “BLP” system would mean outright removing chances to get items from other people. Also, what would happen if the entire raid had high “BLP” when a boss still only drops 1 item per 5 people?

Actually it did.

Back in Mists of Pandaria bad luck protection was added so that when you used a bonus roll, if you didn’t get an item the chances of you getting an item on your next bonus roll increased and would continue increasing every time you didn’t get loot until you got one.

That system remained in place all the way up to Battle for Azeroth, but it was effectively removed in Shadowlands since Blizzard removed the bonus roll system in that expansion, this was likely due to the addition of the Great Vault, which rewarded you with gear depending on how much content you did each week. However, in 9.2 with the return of tier sets, they added a form of bad luck protection back in the form of the Creation Catalyst, although it only affected tier sets and not regular items drop chance.

Players who clamor that Group Loot yields more loot than Personal Loot either don’t understand how the systems work, or don’t understand how probability works.

you have expressed perfectly why you shouldn’t buy this game…

let alone pre order.

I’m a little confused. Are you talking about Skill level or Inspriration level? Because, as I understand it, the thing that functions to give you the chance of crafting to a higher level is Inspiration. For example, my levelling Tailor currently has 11% Inspiration for Vibrant Wildercloth Bolt. That means that she has an 11% chance of making a higher level, as she is currently 2 - 3 (as I say, levelling). Her Skill is 103. I just made 5 and they were all 2, because I have a very low Inspiration.

So, what is your Inspiration level? Just to clarify if that’s what you were meaning.

Its a video game. So yes, it absolutely is.

what isnt a waste of time?
we have short lives, enjoy what you do.
don’t worry about what is what.

And what sucks, is every time a new invention is made “to make life easier”, they just stuff in more work in that free time that would’ve been, and that becomes the new norm.

Just look at cars and computers- those were supposed to save us tons of time, for travel and work, but now they’re just everyday tools to squeeze in even more work.

The amount of free time we actually have as humans has only been growing smaller, each generation.

If you said nothing more after your title you would be objectively 100% correct.

With the specifics about group loot (or whatever) I dunno, but yes this and any other MMORPG is a literal waste of time.

YOU cracked the code, now get outta here…

I like that now I don’t have to log in daily or weekly once I got what I wanted aotc and ksh. Do my weekly 8 and pretty much done.

First of all, wow is a video game. Of course it’s a waste of time. Second of all, all group loot did was made it so people who don’t need loot can greed instead of need, and took the personal loot internal system “roll” and made you hit a button.

Erhm - I wont comment about the loot issue - other people have their opinions, and I don’t mind one way or the other.

Just coming here to say that your understanding of profession skill is incorrect - once you have enough skill to make an item at a given rank, it will ALWAYS craft at that rank, regardless whether you are 1% away from the next rank or 99% away. What makes it craft at a higher rank is your inspiration % chance. Your skill is irrelevant at that point, unless you can earn/allocate enough skill points to guarantee the rank 3. If you wanna increase your chances at getting rank 3 of that particular material, you should be equipping gear that increases your inspiration %.

What is the TL;DR on this rage essay? Obviously a troll, but I’m curious.

"I hate group loot but I refuse to do mythic plus where I can still have personal loot and reliably gear so I’m here to cry about my loot luck. If I can’t just stumble my way to free loot by only doing lfr each week on my forty alts it’s CLEAR blizzard hates me. I’ve also only now just realized that mmo’s are one big dangling carrot by design.

Like every whining post on this forum, I do not want differing opinions, only support for my video game baby rage. Anyone who disagrees with me will be subject to insults to their intelligence and ad hominem attacks."

Life is a waste of time. You can easily fix that, lol

Yes, WoW is designed to waste your time. In earlier iterations, even the game’s combat was heavily focused around slowing the player down (mobs had tons of roots, slows, extremely long stuns. Tons of downtime eating/drinking).

If you think this is a bad timesink, try Classic.

This is a horrible take on professions have JC, Alch, and Leatherworking doing highly desired items on each. Multiple flask, multiple Illi gems, and boots on LW. Gotta get the artisan rep up.
