WoW Housing: It’s Only Neighborly

Right, silly me. I’m just an entitled little consumer. How dare I ask for more from the small independent company. UGH, so unreasonable!

Sooooo… Outdoor plumbing, or indoor plumbing?

There’s nothing wrong with wanting more as the consumer. Especially when the company that you’re handing your money to is as big as Blizzard. So no, I’m not just gonna sit on my hands and be content. I want more, and frankly, you should too.

I’m happy with what I have have been for years I honestly couldn’t ask for more. You on the other hand sound like a child who got told no that they couldn’t have chocolate covered marshmallows at the grocery store by their parents.

who is the landlord and what exactly are they doing? i’m struggling to think of a situation that wouldn’t be solved by just… not signing up for a neighborhood chartered by someone you don’t trust, or moving out if you’re already there and things start to get weird and controlling

though, if by “social architecture” you mean the endeavor decorations, i will agree that as a concept it feels kinda bad. dev-built aesthetic kits that get foisted on the neighborhood either randomly or semi-randomly and last an entire month before being cycled out for a new one? unfitting and unnecessary. i don’t think neighborhoods need to be made visually different from each other by forcing aesthetic blankets like this. the key selling point of the system is player customization

It’s absolutely hysterical that the elves who joined the Horde are suddenly reminded about which team they are on. The indignation has to be some kind of induced meta-LARP where now they are all haughty and “too good” to live in an Orcish hut.

The Orcs get it. Lok’tar Ogar elfies lol

(okay, I’m all for customization and diverse options, but COME ON there’s 30 years of precedent)

Right? It’s like “If you don’t like the aesthetic maybe go form your own faction and leave the people who like and respect it be.”

Nah fam: “Wait, I have to see OTHER PEOPLE?!?” Alternatively: “What community??” personally I prefer the second one.

You can use an Alliance character to create a house in an Alliance neighborhood and then have your Horde character live in it and control it. You get 2 houses, a Horde house and an Alliance house, so it shouldn’t be a problem.

While they haven’t said definitively yet, they have said that they’ll likely include any functionality that could be done with a toy. Since there are campfire toys, you can bet they’ll have hearths, cooking pots, and the like that allow cooking. If they draw automatically from your bank it could function that way.

That’s my point. We will already have lots of ways to get decorations. We don’t need more systems.

I’m whiny child for having higher expectations of a multi-billion dollar company. Listen to yourself. I think you dropped your thinking cap.

1: If your guild gets a neighborhood it’s going to be in the Alliance area or the Horde area. Your Horde toons will be able to live in Alliance home designs in Alliance neighborhoods if you want, but won’t be able to have Horde exteriors. If your guild decides they want to be in the other faction Neighborhood then everyone needs to Pack their homes, claim the other neighborhood for the guild, then Unpack in the new location. A bit of work but doable.
2: I’m not positive but from the towers we see in the Horde image it may be that they allow different Horde building types in a Horde neighborhood. As they continue working on this I expect you’ll see exteriors that match each of the Horde races, including high-demands ones like Blood Elf, Undead and Highborne.

Yes you are thank you for clarifying it and have a nice day.

“Oh, who are the people in your neighborhood?
In your neighborhood?
In your neighborhood?
Say, who are the people in your neighborhood?
The people that you meet each day.”
