WoW Hotfixes – Updated November 1

No Painsmith Raznal nerfs? He’s extremely overtuned. 30k raidwide damage combined with a constantly 1.3k dot and overlapping spikes and balls is pretty crazy. The balls also need to have their hitboxes doubled since Melee have to be damn near right on top of them to hit for some reason.

Oh really? Maelie is now not available for anyone, anywhere… Fantastic fix.

    • Soulrender Dormazain
      • Brand of Torment now deals the appropriate amount of damage based on the amount of players in the raid.
    • Painsmith Raznal
      • Fixed an issue that caused Flameclasp Traps to sometimes not target the maximum number of players.
    • Guardian of the First Ones
      • Fixed an issue where Energy Cores could generate less energy than expected.
    • Sylvanas Windrunner
      • Extended the encounter’s enrage timer on Normal and Heroic difficulties.
        • Developers’ note: The enrage timer on Sylvanas was set to a value used in earlier iterations of the encounter. It was never intended to gate progress.
      • Fixed an issue where the visual effect of Rive could sometimes become misaligned with its warning indicator.
      • Fixed an issue where Invigorating Field could inadvertently cause a player to trigger the Invigorating Field on the far side of the jump, perpetually moving them between the two.
      • Fixed an issue where Anduin Wrynn would fail to cast Crippling Defeat if players entered his platform during the encounter.
  • Tazavesh, the Veiled Market
    • The shortcut portal from Customs to The Opulent Nexus is now automatically enabled when Timecap’n Hooktail is defeated.
    • Fixed an issue that would prevent parties from being able to easily resume the dungeon.
    • The Grand Menagerie
      • Players are no longer stuck in combat if the party is defeated during an intermission.
    • So’leah
      • Fixed an issue where Collapsing Star could sometimes become too small and difficult to interact with for consuming the remaining charges of Collapsing Energy.

Items and Rewards

  • The currency cap for Cataloged Research has been removed.
    • Developers’ note: We have fixed an earlier technical limitation that required a cap to be set on a currency that came from stacks of consumed items. The earlier lower cap that caused issues getting to Tier 4 was an oversight on our part, but with this resolved we are now able to remove the cap.
  • The Helm of Necrotic Sight should also now give Intellect to Holy Paladins.
  • Tasteful Eyeglasses no longer have a level requirement to be transmogrified.
  • Various Korthia and Maw weapons now sheathe appropriately.
  • Alliance Pandaren should now be correctly changed into children by the Inner Child effect from the Experimental Anima Cell toy.
  • Sanctum Gloomcharger’s Reins, Fallen Charger’s Reins, Soulbound Gloomcharger’s Reins, and Mawsworn Charger’s Reins now appear in the Dressing Room window.

Quests

  • Fixed an issue where Brethlun the Brand could become stuck during the quest “The Brand Holds the Key.”
  • Prophet Velen has finally finished his long exhale after the defeat of Argus and is ready for players to turn in quests like “Audience with the Prophet” to him in the Exodar once more.

Torghast, Tower of the Damned

      • Petrified Pet Food no longer appears to other players in the hunter’s party.

Any tuning for Sanctum of Domination? Remnant of Ner’zhul has a bug that kills 50% of the pulls I’ve seen, also has insane overlap. Painsmith Raznal is also INSANELY overtuned and also has INSANE overlap! Mailroom boss in Tazevesh? :frowning: Anything to any boss?

      • Lady Jaina Proudmoore, Thrall, and Bolvar Fordragon no longer sometimes forget that they were fighting Sylvanas Windrunner or Anduin Wrynn.
      • Fixed an issue where she would fail to cast Wailing Arrow on dead targets under certain circumstances.
      • Fixed an issue where the Banshee’s Fury secondary area-of-effect spell (for player’s afflicted with Banshee’s Bane) could damage player pets and guardians.

      • Fixed an issue where Dark Stride’s bleed effect was being reduced by armor. The damage done by Dark Stride has been reduced by 35% to account for this.

Quests

  • Kevin will now provide credit after eating enemies if he lands the killing blow for “Somebody Feed Kevin.”
  • Dragging centurion pieces to Mikanikos during the quest “Putting A Plan Together” should now be more reliable.

Torghast, Tower of the Damned

  • Anima Powers
    • Fixed an issue where Rank 2 of Anima Plunderer (Rank 2) was not dropping an Anima Cell.

WoW Companion App

  • Fixed a fatal error where some users could not add a new Battle.net account.
  • Fixed a fatal error where the app would not correctly identify regions for some users.
  • Fixed a fatal error with Maw Adventure combat replays that contained certain environmental effects.
  • Fixed an issue with news article image sizes.

The Devs don’t PVP at all.

frost/udk needs to get a buff to there damage! not scaled right at all!

Why buffing BM ? Like seriously this class is already destroying the ladder. Literally can’t heal the damage even if my healer is spamming heals (in arena)… Tbh this class need a serious nerf in arena. Same for the dps monk.

No reversion, or even mention of the Divine Resonance nerf. Zero communication other than “we’re doing this for testing but btw it’s already live, we don’t actually care, we’re doing it”

Thank you for fixing the Pet Battle glitch. Now opposing pets won’t also skip their turn when the first pet in a turn skips their turn.

Reduced DP damage. Again. ok.

JULY 13, 2021

Classes

    • Fixed an issue where Mongoose Bite and Serpent Sting were not properly increased in damage by 10%.
  • Monk
    • Windwalker
      • Fixed an interaction between Storm, Earth and Fire and Spinning Crane Kick that dealt more damage than intended.
  • Paladin
    • Fixed an issue where Vanquisher’s Hammer (Necrolord Ability) was consuming Divine Purpose (Talent).
    • Retribution
      • Fixed an issue that could unintentionally allow the primary target of Judgement to be damaged by Lawbringer’s (PvP Talent) effect.
  • Priest
    • Holy
      • Fixed an issue where Spirit of Redemption was not properly resolving after Forgeborne Reveries (Bonesmith Heirmir Soulbind).

Covenants

      • Damage will now remove Sulfuric Emission’s (Emeni) fear effect.

Creatures and NPCs

  • Reduced the health of Mor’geth and his Soul Cages by 38%. Additionally, Soul Cages can no longer be Death Gripped.

    • Eye of the Jailer
      • On Mythic difficulty, using immunities such as Divine Shield could put players in a bad state where they had cleared their Scorn or Ire debuff but may not be able to control what debuff would be reapplied once the immunity wore off. Now using immunities will temporarily immune the damage but will not clear Scorn or Ire debuffs.
    • Soulrender Dormazain
      • Unleashed Tyranny damage reduced by 17% on Mythic difficulty.
      • Echoing Screams now ticks every 2 seconds (was 5 seconds) on all difficulties, with damage proportionally reduced on Normal, Heroic, and Raid Finder difficulties to keep total damage over time unchanged.
      • Echoing Screams damage reduced by an additional 10% on Mythic difficulty.
        • Developers’ notes: The bursts of damage from Unleashed Tyranny on Mythic difficulty could combine with Echoing Screams ticks to cause unreasonable damage spikes relative to the healing burden of the fight otherwise. These changes are aimed to smooth out those spikes.
    • Painsmith Raznal
      • Blackened Armor duration has been reduced.
      • Shadowsteel Ember damage reduced by 25% on Normal difficulty.
      • Slightly increased the time it takes for Shadowsteel Embers to reach their impact location on Normal and Heroic difficulties.
      • Extended the encounter’s enrage timer on Normal and Heroic difficulties.
      • Fixed an issue causing Flameclasp Trap to sometimes prioritize tanks over other targets.
    • Kel’Thuzad
      • Dark Evocation will now only be cast once when his energy reaches 40% and will not refresh until the boss regains 100% energy.
      • Reduced the size of the exit portal visual in the Phylactery.
      • Shadow Fissures now appear closer to players.
      • Reduced the number of Frostbound Devoted corpses that are available to revive.
      • Vengeful Destruction now properly functions as a wipe mechanic.
      • The Adventure Guide entry for Glacial Winds now displays the proper health threshold of 20% to begin casting the ability.
      • The Adventure Guide entry for Vengeful Destruction now displays the correct amount of health the Remnant needs to lose in order to interrupt the cast.
    • Sylvanas Windrunner
      • The total damage players must deliver to Sylvanas Windrunner has been reduced by approximately 5% in Normal and Heroic difficulties.
      • Sylvanas Windrunner now transitions out of Stage 1 at 84% on Normal and Heroic difficulties.
        • Developers’ notes: We felt that players were losing too much uptime due to mechanics, and getting out of the first phase much later than originally anticipated, so this is meant to curtail the length of the encounter without affecting difficulty too much.
      • Veil of Darkness radius has been reduced in the third stage of the encounter.
      • Banshee Wail and Banshee Scream radius reduced.
        • Developers’ notes: Our goal here was to help ease the space constraints imposed by larger raid sizes, without substantially reducing the difficulty of the encounter.
      • Defeated players will now be correctly moved to the first platform at the start of Stage 3.
      • Dispelling Banshee’s Bane with single-charge dispels now removes all stacks.
      • Mawforged Souljudge’s Lashing Strike initial cooldown increased.
      • Sylvanas Windrunner is now immune to Curse of Tongues.
      • Combat resurrection cooldown timers now take the duration of the mid-fight cinematic into account.
        • Developers’ notes: We don’t want players to feel like there’s a penalty to your battle rez if you skip the cinematic.
  • Mythic+
    • Tormented Affix
      • Oro Coldheart’s Biting Cold damage reduced by 25%.
      • Incinerator Arkolath’s Melt Soul now increases Fire damage taken by 50% (was 100%).
      • Fixed an issue where Tormented anima powers could proc from non-damaging spells.
  • Mists of Tirna Scithe
    • Tred’ova
      • Fixed an issue that could sometimes cause Mind Link to become stuck on players.
  • Tazavesh, the Veiled Market
    • Defeating So’Leah when the party is set to raid will now grant credit towards “Tazavesh: Raiders of the Lost Artifact.”
    • Zo’phex the Sentinel
      • Fixed an issue where Armed Security would sometimes not disappear when the encounter is reset.
    • So’azmi
      • Relocators will now move to fixed positions prior to each Shuri cast and remain there until told to move to another fixed location later.

Items and Rewards

  • Shards of Domination bonuses now scale with the level of the associated Shards. More details can be found in this forum thread.
  • Several Sanctum of Domination trinkets have had their power adjusted. All values mentioned here are for the item level 226 version of these items, but higher item level versions have also been updated proportionally.
    • Titanic Ocular Gland now grants 117 of your highest secondary stat (was 112).
    • Tome of Monstrous Constructions now grants your damaging abilities a very high chance to deal 507 additional Shadow damage to your studied foe (was 467).
    • Shadowed Orb of Torment now grants 432 Mastery (was 268).
    • Ebonsoul Vise can now critically strike, is improved by your Haste, and deals damage immediately on application. Its damage over time effect has been reduced to 781 (was 1,324).
    • Salvaged Fusion Amplifier now causes your attacks to have a very high chance to deal 1,290 Arcane damage (was 1,189).
  • The quest items that unlock the covenant flying mounts, Spring Wilderling, Foresworn Aquillon, and Mastercraft Gravewing should now drop for members of their appropriate covenants regardless of Renown level. These mounts will now work the same way as the Necrolord rare Lord of the Corpseflies egg drop works.
  • The Vengeance mount now correctly appears in the Mythic Adventure Guide.
  • The Sanctum Gloomcharger mount now has a chance to drop from The Nine on all difficulties.
  • The Mailemental summoned by the Miniscule Mailemental in an Envelope trinket will be more reliable and have fewer long periods of contemplation.
  • Shaded Stone Statue and Porous Stone Statue now share cooldowns with combat potions.
  • Reaching Combatant now awards the correct Unchained Gladiator’s Greatcloak transmog for the plate set.

Quests

  • Fixed an issue where Tower Inquisitor sometimes would not spawn for the quest “Rule 3: Trust is Earned.”

Torghast, Tower of the Damned

  • Fixed an issue where players who were disconnected from the game were removed from the party.
  • Anima Powers
    • Priest
      • Voidwraith Signet will no longer summon a Void Wraith upon killing a trivial or summoned enemy.

I’m sorry but who thought priest was too strong in torghast… it’s a joke compared to almost any other class and now you nerf the one good power priest has

Of all the Shadow Priest nerfs, patch after patch, the two that targeted Voidwraith Signet are the ones that have left the most bitter of tastes in my mouth. Torghast is supposed to be about fun. These past two Voidwraith nerfs have convinced me that one of you clowns just straight up hate Shadow Priests.
